Friends, a few weeks back in my weekend blog I have given details of top Hindi (Bollywood) films that had done maximum business in the country. This week I am writing about the top Hindi films that have done maximum business in the world.
In this list you may notice that some films who have done good business in India but they are in this list, this is because of the star power of the particular actor in the other parts of the world.
Here s the list of the top 25 films:
At no. 25 is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baajirao Mastani. It was released in December 2015, and its worlswide collection was Rs 355.61 Cr. The film starred Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Priyanka Chopra.
At no. 24 is Tanhaji directed by Om Raut, released in January 2020 and its worldwide collection was Rs 356.06 Cr. The film starred Ajay Devgan, Kajol, and Saif Ali Khan.
At no. 23 is Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, released in December 2015 and its worldwide collection was Rs 376.65 Cr. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol.
At no. 22 is Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Vanga, released in June 2019 and its worldwide collection was Rs 379 Cr. The film starred Shahid Kapoor & Kaira Advani.
At no. 21 is Farah Khan’s Happy New Year, released in October 2014 and its worldwide collection was Rs 383.10 Cr. It starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan.
At no. 20 is Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, released in October 2015 and its worldwide collection was Rs 388.48 Cr. It starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor.
At no. 19 is Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick, released in July 2014 and its worldwide collection was Rs 391 Cr. It starred Salman Khana and Jacquline Fernandes.
At no. 18 is Rakesh Roshan’s Krish 3, released in June 2013 and its worldwide collection was Rs 393.5 Cr. It starred Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi & Kangana Ranaut.
At no. 17 is Rohit Shetty’s Simba, released in December 2018 and its worldwide collection was Rs 400.19 Cr. It starred Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.
At no.16 is Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots, it was released in December 2019 and its world wide collection was Rs 400.60 Cr. It starred Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhvan.
At no. 15 is Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, it was released in August 2013 and its worldwide collection was Rs 424.34 Cr. It starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
At no. 14 is Sriram Raghvan’s Andhadhun, released in October 2018 and its worldwide collection was Rs 456.59 Cr. It starred Tabu, Ayuushman Khurana, and Radhika Apte.
At no. 13 is Siddhart Anand’s War, released in October 2019 and its worldwide collection was Rs 474.79 Cr. It starred Hrithik Roshan & Tiger Shroff.
At no. 12 is Vijay K Achara’s Dhoom 3, released in December 2013, and its worldwide collection was Rs 556.7 Cr. It starred Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif & Abhishek Bachchan.
At no. 11 is Ali Abbas Zafer’s Tiger Zinda Hai, released in December 2017, and its worldwide collection was Rs 564.2 Cr. It starred Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif.
At no. 10 is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat, released in January 2018 and its worldwide collection was Rs 572 Cr. It starred Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor & Ranveer Singh.
At no. 9 is Raj Kumar Hirani’s Sanju, released in June 2018 and its worldwide collection was Rs 586.85 Cr. It starred Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Raval & Vicky Kaushal.
At no. 8 is Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan, released in July 2016 and its worldwide collection was Rs 614.49 Cr. It starred Salman Khan & Anushka Sharma.
At no. 7 SS Rajmouli’s Bahubali –The Beginning (Hindi Version), released in July 2015 and its worldwide collection (all versions) Rs 650 Cr. It starred Prabhas, Anushka Sheety, Tamanah Bhatia.
At no. 6 Shankar’s 2.0 (Hindi version), released in November 2018, and its worldwide collection was Rs 660 Cr (all versions). It starred Rajnikanth & Akshay Kumar.
At no.5 is Raj Kumar Hirani’s PK, released in December 2014 and its worldwide collection was Rs 769.89 Cr. It starred Aamir Khan & Anusha Sharma.
At no. 4 Advait Chandan’s Secret Superstar, released in October 2017 and its worldwide collection is Rs 875.78 Cr. It starred Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, and Aamir Khan.
At no. 3 is Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijan, released in July 2015, and its worldwide collection was Rs 918.78 Cr. It starred Salman Khan & Kareena Kapoor.
At no. 2 is R Ralamouli’s Bahubali 2 (Hindi version), released in April 2017, and its worldwide collection was Rs 1810 Cr (all versions). It starred Prabhas, Anushka Shetty & Tamanah Bhatia.
At no. 1 is Nitesh Tiwari’s Dangal, released in December 2016, and its worldwide collection was Rs 1968.03 Cr. It starred Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra.
You will observe from above that there are certain films which did average business in India but their worldwide collections were superb, it is just because of the star power of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan & Aamir Khan. Second thing is that after 2016 China allowed the release of Hindi film (dubbed in local language), and it is heard that the first film to be released there was Amir Khan’s Dangal and followed Secret Superstar, therefore film Secret Superstar did not do business of even Rs 100 Cr in India is at no. 4 in this list.
