So yesterday the function at Ayodhya , for the start of construction of Ram Mandir was completed, with only about 200 guests present. But these guests were seated far away from the actual function site and watched the program on TV only. In the pooja ceremony only 5 guests were there which included the PM. Now on one side millions of Ram devotee all over the world rejoiced, and on the other side there were few thousands of pseudo seculars and Modi bashers who were flooding social media with their negative trolls, and some of them were really in very bad taste. Some of the trolls are reproduced below:
1 Sitaram Yechury-“ The state takeover of the construction of the temple in the presence of the governor and CM of UP, is a negation of the secular democratic character of Indian republic. It is also violation of Supreme court verdict”
My comment- PM and other dignitaries were present as invitee of the Trust, which is going to construct the temple. I do not understand how a secular character of democratic republic is destroyed, if PM attends a function of hindu community .How yesterday’s function has violated SC’s verdict. Was it secular when President/PM/CMs were hosting Iftaar parties during Ramzaan under earlier regimes? Govt of India is not constructing the temple it is being constructed by Trust which as per SC’s order, and trust is being funded by donations received from public.
2 Prashant Bhushan– “ Today they found a new Republic, opposed to what our constitution had imagined. Marked by new apartheid, where freedom of speech & speaking truth to power is replaced by duty of worship those in power, where some men become more than equal than others. Weep for our beloved country.”
My comment- I do not understand how the action of govt is anyway opposed to our constitution. When constitution gives equal rights to people of all religion, what is wrong in PM attending the function.
3 Sagarika Ghose– “The Ram Mandir Ayodhya is being built after the criminal act of demolishing a mosque and Bhumi pujan date is the same as the day Kashmir was split into UTs and its people humiliated. As a hindu, I quote the lines of veteran editor Prabhas Joshi: yeh to Raghukul Nahin.”
My comment- she is expert in locating political angle in every incident which happens during Modi regime. Now I want to ask whether Congress rule was in accordance with Raghukul culture.
4 Rajdeeep Sardesai– “ My take on Ram Mandir nirmaan, this is the time for introspection, not celebration..interfaith harmony must begin by prosecuting those responsible for the demolition..build a Mandir but who will build better more harmonious India.”
My comment- The Mandir is being build as per the direction given by SC. Yes the people involved in demolition of Babri masjid should be prosecuted. Then why you are not talking of prosecuting the people who destroyed thousands of temples in Kashmir over the last 3 decades. It has been already proved in SC that Babri Masjid was build after demolition a temple, so first crime was committed during Babar regime, so are we going to pronounce the Babar guilty.
5 Nikhil Wagle– “ Ram mandir Bhumi pujan reminds me of those violent days…. Ram Rath yatra, riots, Babri demolition, once again communal carnage, bomb blasts.. culprits are still roaming free or will attend the ceremony. I do not know what are people celebrating? Death of secular nation.
My Comment- If you want to remember history, then why you are forgetting murder of thousands of Hindus in Kashmir during the same period, and rest of Kashmiri Hindus had to flee from their home in Kashmir. Death of secular nation started when Congressmen butchered thousands of Sikhs aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984. Why you selectively remember the incidents of modern history of independent India where people from certain community are affected.
In last 2-3 days we have seen turn around by Congress party. Starting from Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and many more Congress leaders are now saying in favour of construction of Ram mandir. It looks like to me that most of the Congress leaders have realised that most of Hindus across the world are not opposing the construction of this Ram mandir and hence have changed their tune. We can not forget that the Congress was the one party which went to SC for delaying the hearing of case after 2019 election, as they were afraid that BJP will get the mileage during elections, if the verdict comes in favour of Ram mandir. So many of Congress’s top leaders, who are lawyer, were fighting for masjid.
But these so called pseudo seculars are always against Modi and BJP govt, but they should realise that even their God fathers in Congress are now reconciled with the fact that there is going to be Ram mandir in Ayodhya, and in their minds even top Congressmen know that they have least chance of coming back to power in 2024.
So friends, what you say in this matter.
