Yesterday Rajya Sabha Chairman Vice President Venkiah Naidu suspended  8 Rajya sabha MPs for one week for ‘ unruly behaviour during passage of two bills’ one day earlier and also rejected the notice for a no confidence motion against Deputy Chairman Harivansh. There have been many comments from the  opposition parties on this issue. Rahul Gandhi commented this is “muting of democracy”. Now can Rahul Gandhi tell the Indian public which part of Indian constitution gives you democratic right to go to the dais from where chairman/dy chairman control the proceedings of the  house and intimidate him, and secondly even Congress manifesto of 2019 general election mentioned that  if they come to power they will reform the APMCs/Mandis for the benefits of the farmers, so when the present govt has done the same and brought the reforms for the benefits of farmers, then why protest by them. It is same as if you do certain thing then you are right and if the same thing some other party does then they are wrong.,

Ahmed Patel commented that “ BJP govt  could not evict China, could not evict corona virus and could not evict economic crises, hut using their strength to evict 8 MPs”. What a laughable statement, will Ahmed Patel like to elaborate in whose regime China first entered Indian territory, as then the  PM ( from Congress party) accepted in Parliament that it was mistake of his govt to believe China, and successive Congress govts at centre allowed China to always have upper hand and went on yielding the Indian territory to China. When the armed forces on the instructions of present govt defended our territory and forced China to go back into LAC and you are making this comment, which indirectly means you are demoralising our armed forces. Regarding Corona Virus Ahmed Patels’s comment is uncalled for-the pandemic is spread all over the world, when there was total lock down, it was people like leaders from opposition parties were commenting, why govt is not allowing people to work and earned their living and now when lock down is partially opened then these people are saying govt can not evict corona virus, Ahmed Patel even there are so many states in the country which are ruled by Congress and allies, have these states become successful in evicting corona virus? Regarding Ahmed Patel’s comment of evicting the  economy crisis- then I can only say- will he care to answer that which country is not having economic crisis during this year due to pandemic? The problem with Congress leaders are that they just want to  make baseless comments, without checking the actual position/situation on the issue.

Congress with only 100 odd MPs in both the houses  combined , for last 6 years have only adopted one policy that they are their allies should disrupt the  proceedings of Parliament and stall passing of any bill introduced by Parliament. Earlier they could stall the bill in Rajya Sabha, because Modi govt did not have majority in Rajya Sabha, but after 2019 Congress and their allies have not been able to stall any bills even in Rajya Sabha, and all the important bills have been passed by both houses of Parliament. And this has led to frustration in Congress and its allied parties.

The problem is  for last w bills there have not been any concrete debates in both the houses of Parliament, as the leading opposition party Congress is incapable of carrying out debates in any topic as their members are always ill prepared or  their main leadership, which is rudderless now,  can not guide them properly in right directions. Unless the Congress go for total revamp, this position is going to persist. If this happens for long run then  the democracy will be in real danger, because it is always good to have strong opposition in any democracy, otherwise Govt can take people for granted, and the fact is presently India lacks strong opposition.
