Daily Happenings Blog

Tuesday Brief

Friends, my sincere apologies for not posting my blogs during the last week. The reason being-first my health was not great and secondly because of festival season of Deepawali.

Now during the last week , in general there was lull in Indian political scenario except for the result of Bihar state elections. Contrary to all the exit polls, which indicated that Mahaghatbandhan  of RJD, Congress and other parties will cross the majority mark easily, but to these parties’ dismay NDA group consisting of BJP, JDU, and other small parties achieved the majority mark in a tough battle. Which proved that Narendra Modi is still the only leader  to whom voters  still listen and respect. So for the first time BJP got more seats than Nitish Kumar’s JD U in Bihar, and established that they are becoming force to reckon in Bihar.

One dubious recorded was created by Shiv Sena, who entered the electoral fray in Bihar of its own, lost the deposit in all the 70 seats which they contested, in the process they broke the record created by Congress in last election of Delhi, when they lost deposit in 67 seats.

Now I will switch over to health topic:

Diwali festival is over now and now it is time to to think about how to detox your body from all the unhealthy eating. Indeed during the Diwali festivities, it is very difficult to curb oneself, and it is not bad to indulge on unhealthy food once a year on Diwali.

DETOXING YOUR BODY AFTER A FESTIVAL

It is true that Indian food, that we eat is generally rich in oil with all kinds of masalas, diary and sugar rich sweets during this time. All these are sure to affect our body specially if we already have specific health conditions like diabetes, hypertension etc. Moreover, we also do not get time to exercise during the festivities. However post festival season it is always a good idea to detox the body, which ensures that the normal body balance is restored, so that we can continue with our normal daily schedule. Few of the therapies which can help in detoxing the body are listed below:

WATER THERAPY

Water therapy  and its effect on our body is well known. In fact instead of drinking plain warm water in the morning, one may chose to add a dash of lemon juice to it, to make it more effective. You may even sip this water and lemon juice mixture through the day for a few days post Diwali. This can help bring your body back to normalcy by improving digestion and reducing gastric effects. Stay hydrated, you may also drink coconut water, and other fruit juices. If you take tea, you may have green tea once or twice a day as well.

CURD RICE

It is a healthy food that is right for your stomach and also has few other benefits. It can be excellent detoxifier to have curd rice or dahi chawal for a day or two post Diwali, it aids digestion by promoting the growth of healthy gut bacteria. All issues of constipation and gas are also relieved, and this keeps your body cool, boost your immunity and help you fight infections. Hence switching to curd rice lunch for a day or two can be a healthy idea.

EAT SALADS

Include fresh fruit and vegetable salads in your diet for a few days post Diwali. This can be regular part of your diet, but must after post festivities. Salad contain lot of immunes boosting antioxidants and also help detox your body.

AVOID CERTAIN FOODS

Do not eat leftover foods, especially oily masala ones or sweets for few days. If you eat all that your detox effects may not be good and the body will just end up having more toxins. So, handover leftover food to someone, and strictly follow the detox procedures and have healthy, balanced diet for few days. Do not go out to eat for few days, which may cause trouble to the healing body.

EXERCISE

Without fail, get back to your usual walks and jogs or yoga and other activities. This can also help the body maintain its normal status. A lots of unwanted fat and stuff from the body will also be shaken up when you get back to your regular exercise routine. With all this, also ensure to get proper sleep to keep things running smoothly.

I was most surprised that ,so many still voted to Maha Ghatabandhan . A 9th class fail jungleraj youvaraj attracting votes is nothing but voters ignorance of norms of merit .

It is still baffling , how & why did Chirag Paswan overestimate his support base .

A best way to detox body will be to follow a day of only fruits & vegetables . No cereals , no dairy & ofcourse no nonveg . Ideally once a week .
