Thursday Brief

Amid growing chorus of student voices and state govts demanding deferment of the Board exams over the surge in Covid 19 cases in the country. the Education Ministry has cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board exams and postponed the Class 12 Board exams. The ministry will decide fresh dates for class 12 exam. And CBSE will ptepare the class 10 results based on an objective creation. Now this is going to create problems for Maharashtra govtas the Maharashtra Board has already postponed both class 10 and class 12 exams. Maharashtra board can not cancel the class 10 exams as most of the school affiliated to Maharashtra board are not equpped to take etudents for further studies of class 11 & 12, which is being catered by Junior Colleges, and student’s  to Junior college is based on the result of class 10 board exams. While in CBSE affialated schools there is provision for futher studies of  class 11 and 12. So let us wait what action is being taken by Maharashtra govt, but one thing is certain the next academic session will be delayed like it happened in 2020.

Now coming to my other topic of the day:

Whether it’s a aharp pain or dull ache, joint pain is a common problem these days. One of the main culprit is Osteoarthritis of Knee.

If you have stiffness, pain, and swelling in your knees that is worse in the morning or when you have not moved for a while, suspect early osteoarthritis. Most often, osteoarthritis affects people over age of 50 years, but in can be problem in younger people as well. women are more likely to have osteoarthritis than men.

Symptoms that can appear at the early stage of osteoarthritis are :

  • Pain especially on bending and strightening the joints and with weight bearing.
  • Swelling-caused by build up of fluid in the joints
  • Tenderness- when pressing down on the joints.
  • Stiffness when moving the joint, especially first thing in the morning or after a period of inactivity or walking.
  • Creaking or Cracking of joints on activity such as bending.

Can you cure early orteoarthritis : There is no cure for early asteoarthritis yey, but you can lessen your chance of problems by keeping your health in check, exercising and being one with nature.

Following are the few pointers thasat can help you manage the symptoms:

Every one knows about the properties of turmeric. Boswellia, which in hindi is known as Shallaki or Loban. It is a resin extract from the boswellia tree. it is known for it’s anti-inflammatory effects mean that it may help with inflammatory conditions, such ae arthritis , inflammatory bowel disease and asthama. You may get this from any shop which sell ayurvedic products.

Friends, about a decade back I also suffered from knee pain while climbing staircase. My pain got reduced by doing some physio therapic exercise, which till date I am doing and pain is totally subsibed. If I do not do this exercise for few days, the pain slowly starts appearing again. Now I Has made a practice to do this exercise on regular basis.

Waiting for your comments/views.
