In yesterday’s blog I had written about most admired men of 2021, and as promised today I am writing about most admired women of 2021.
MOST ADMIRED WOMEN OF 2021
1 Michelle Obama– like her husband former US President Barack Obama, she is also on the list of most admired people of the world, and like her husband who topped the men’s list, she is also occupying the top slot in the women’s list.
2 Angelina Jolie- Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards winner, and one of the highest-paid actresses of Hollywood, has grabbed the second spot in this list.
3 Queen Elizabeth II- Queen of United Kingdom since 1952. She is the longest-reigning monarch in British history. At the age of 92 she still carries out a full programme of engagements, from visits to charities and schools to hosting visiting Heads of state, to leading the nation in Remembrance and celebratory events-all supported by other members of the Royal family.
4 Oprah Winfrey- She is the topmost Talk show host, and she is regarded as one of the most influential personalities in the world. She is a media proprietor, talk show host, actress, and producer. Over the years, her phenomenal success and subsequent fortune have enabled her philanthropic initiatives.
5 Scarlett Johanson- One of the highest- paid actresses in the world occupies the fifth position in the list of most admired women in 2021.
6 Emma Watson- She is a British actress and activist and campaigns for women’s rights, and she occupies the sixth position in this list of most admired women 2021.
7 Taylor Swift- American sing and songwriter, she is the seventh most admired woman in the list of 2021. She won the Teen Choice Awards for the Best Female Artist. She sure is a teenage favourite with hit songs like ‘Love Story,’ and ‘Our Song’.
8 Angela Merkel- First female chancellor of Germany from 2005 to 2021. She is the only politician in the list.
9 Malala Yousafzai- She became a household name after a gruesome incident. On 9th October, she was shot in the head by the Taliban in Pakistan’s lawless northern region for spreading her cause of education. She grabbed the 9th position in this list.
10 Priyanka Chopra– She is one of the highest -paid Bollywood actresses who has also working in Hollywood films, grabbed the 10th spot in the list. At the age of 18, she was crowned Miss World in 2000, and she was the fifth Miss World from India and was also crowned Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty of Asia & Oceania the same year. She tied a knot with Nick Jonas.
The other women who were in the top 20 lists (in the order of 11-20) Kamala Harris, Hilary Clinton, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sudha Murty, Greta Thunberg, Melania Trump, Lisa, Liu Yifei, Yang Mi, and Jacinda Ardern.
In my yesterday’s blog, I missed adding the most admired men in the list from 11 -20. Here they are Warren Buffett, Sachin Tendulkar, Donald Trump, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Pope Francis, Imran Khan, Virat Kohli, Andy Lau, and Joe Biden.
