As we age, our skin undergoes various transformations that require a shift in our SKINCARE regimen. Reduced collagen production, diminished oil secretion, and a slower cell turnover rate (the rate at which the skin repairs itself) contribute to common issues such as dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles. Instead, opt for warm or room-temperature water for bathing. Use a mositurising soap bar or avoid using one at all. A mosturiser or lotion must be applied after bathing as when we age our body secrets less oil. Although Indian skin type is less prone to skin diseases from UV rays, seniors must still use sunscreen when going out. In case…

Looking back on what happened during the campaigning of this election, the 2024 general election campaign is going to be much more fierce between the two major alliances ie the INDI alliance and NDA. There are a few political parties like BRS and BSP who are not aligned with any of these alliances and are going to find it difficult to survive independently. Going by what has been happening during the last few years, some STRAY THOUGHTS have come into my mind, which I want to share with you all: 1 What is happening in the Congress Party- it seems that the party has no top leader who has control over the party leaders and cadre. Last month assembly elections took place in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh (MP), Chattishgarh, Telengana and Mizoram. The focus of the full nation was on the four states other than Mizoram, as it was where main political parties like BJP and Congress were contesting elections. After the elections when the exit polls came out and most of them said Telengana and Chattisgarh would go to Congress and there is neck to neck fight between Congress and BJP in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. But what a turnaround when the election results started coming out yesterday, as predicted only Telengana went Congress’s way but in the other states BJP trounced Congress by a convincing margin, and in MP BJP won almost 100 seats more than Congress. Even in Telengana BJP improved their tally from the previous assembly where they had only 1 seat and this time they secured 8 seats. These…
Hollywood Copies Bollywood
In today’s weekend blog, I am back on films. Bollywood is often blamed for ‘blatantly’ copying from Hollywood, we have often seen Bollywood filmmakers picking a Hollywood movie and either giving it an Indian touch or presenting it as a remake. But, where do Hollywood filmmakers get ideas from their movies? Turns out, sometimes the answer is Bollywood. There have been occasions where things happened the other way around with Hollywood filmmakers taking inspiration from their Bollywood counterparts. Here are some of those movies for you: 1 Just Go With It (Hollywood-H)- Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya (Bollywood-B)- Adam Sandler plays a successful plastic surgeon in this 2011 film, who flirts with women by lying about his unhappy marriage. But, when he falls for a woman, he tells her he is getting divorced and convinces his assistant Jennifer Aniston, to pretend to be his soon-to-be ex-wife to cover up for his…
