Manipur Crisis
The civil unrest in Manipur, which is going on for many weeks and it looks like the end is not near. Actually, the turmoil in Manipur is going on since 1949 when the state joined Indian Union. This is mainly due to many factors, the main ones are: Meitei tribes’ ethnonationalism and its clash with tribal groups such as Nagas and Kukis. The Central Government’s failure to form a manageable territorial unit containing all diverse ethnic groups. The divisive electoral politics, and above all the Central Government’s reliance on the Armed Forces Special Powers Act of 1958 (AFSPA) to maintain law and order. In reality, the fact is the accession of Princely State Manipur to India in 1949 was itself controversial, and the conditions under it were merged did not find favour with many tribal groups. In 2019, two Manipur-based umbrella extremist organization-the Coordination Committee (CorCom) and Alliance of Socialist…
Bollywood Trivia
BOLLYWOOD TRIVIA A – There are some Bollywood characters that many hate fiercely because of how they were presented onscreen These characters were so over the top they left us irritated and disgusted. All these characters had two aspects in common-an overdose of unwarranted attitude and exaggerated acting. Residential Property And Commercial Use
Commercial use of residential property Using residential property for business functions has become a popular way to increase rental income. While housing societies generally resist using the complete residential flat for commercial purposes, owners are permitted to utilize restricted sections. However, there are some restrictions and rules, that you must follow. You may use your residential property for commercial purposes only if your society’s management and zoning regulations (of local bodies) allow it. The zoning Law in India is enacted by the municipal authority or any other authority that governs the use of land through out the city. The law attempts to divide residential neighbourhood from commercial areas to protect people from the detrimental effects of commercial activity while still facilitating the growth of business sectors. Services provided by advocates, attorneys, physicians, and accountants are among the permitted commercial operations in any residential area. If your city enables you to…

Uniform Civil Code
UNIFORM CIVIL CODE For any democratic nation, all the citizens are at par. Therefore it is essential to have common sets of laws governing personal matters like marriage, divorce, inheritance, succession, and adoption for all citizens, irrespective of their religious affiliations and beliefs. It is defined in our constitution under Article 44 of Directive Principles of State Policy. It states that it is the duty of the state to secure for the citizens a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) throughout the territory of India. In other words one country one rule. In 1840, the British government had framed Uniform laws for crimes, evidence, and contracts but the personal laws of Hindus and Muslims were not touched by them intentionally. The Constituent Assembly was set up to frame our Constitution in 1946 in independent India which consisted of both types of members: those who wanted to reform the society by adapting UCC…
