26 A human’s heartbeat can actually synchronise with music- It depends on the beat and the tempo of the particular song, but your heartbeat is able to slow down or speed up according to the music.
27 The enzymes that digest food are the same ones that digest your body once you die-Enzymes are the substance that acts as a catalyst in living organism, they may also be useful to us once we die. After death, enzymes keep working and feedind on fluid produced during something called autolysis- a process that happens once a person dies. (This is true for the buried bodies)
28 Kissing may help with your cavities- The action of kissing produces a lot of saliva in the mouth which gets those fluids secreting quite a bit in there. The process really helps to wash away plaque which can help out if you have cavities in your teeth.
29 Humans can glow in the dark- apparently, the human body is bioluminescent, which means that in the dark we are able to give some light. Species such as fireflies and some jelly fish have this property at a much stronger dosage than we do.
30 Some 200 million litres of blood are pumped by our heart in a lifetime.
31 Most people in the 1940s dreamed in black and white- According to what 755 of Americans reported, back then, they barely saw any colour in their dreams. It is believed that the reason behind it is the regular exposure to black and white TV and films.
32 Our mouths produce about one to two litres of spit daily.
33 Your body triggers something called a ‘diving reflex’ when you are below water- This action causes specific systems in body to shut down and to begin conserving the energy for later. There are psychological changes that takes place when we are submerged.
34 If you decided to untwist all of your DNA, it could actually be long enough to traverse the solar system more than once.
35 Tears are made of different compositions depending on whatever they are made of happiness or sadness- one’s emotion causes their tears to form matters, with a total of three different types of possible out there. Once examined under microscope, each of these looks really different from the other.
36 One could make ten bars of soap with the amount of fat in human body- the number of soap bars basically depends on the supply of a fat that a person’s body reserve and obviously, on how fat the person may be.
37 Women’s brain shrink during pregnancy- it can take up tp to six months after childbirth for the brain to return to the size it was before pregnancy.
38 The eye’s cornea does not have its own blood supply- because the outer parts of the eye need to be transparent to let the light shine through them and enable vision, and blood is not exactly see through. Cornea is not connected to any blood vessels. It receives its nutrients from tears, nerve fibers, and transparent inner eye fluid called aqueous humour.
39 The first thing that develops in a human embryo is the anus, and the second thing to develop is the mouth.
40 The human embryo develops fingerprints after three months.
41 A quarter of your body’s bones are located in your feet- you have a total of 26 bones in feet and ankle. With in thise small parts there are some 33 joints, and more than 100 tendons, lingaments, and muscles. In is one of the most complex area of our skeletol system, maybe that’s why they are so prone to be easily injured.
42 Astronauts could grow about two inches taller in space-since in space they do not have gravity weighing them down on their bodies, their body can apparently stretch much more than they would on earth.
42 A Body’s small intestine is approximately 20 feet long.
43 If you find yourself starving, your brain may start eating itself- the scientific term for this occurrence is called autophagy.
44 Your brain could survive for about ten minutes without oxygen- you will pass out after a minute or two without oxygen, but your brain will continue functioning for quite bit after that. Even after your heart stops, the brain can last fir six more minutes.
45 If you have two organs of the same, only one of them is required to live- You have two lungs and two kidneys, but still you can survive on one lung and one kidney.
46 The left kidney can be found higher up in comparison to the right one.
47 One can not swallow and breathe at the same time- that is because the voice box is placed in a way that results in the body only being able to do one movement at time.
48 A human tongue print is as unique as one’s fingerprint.
49 The jaw is the strongest muscle in human body- with one’s jaw, their molars could chomp down as much as 90 Kg pounds of force.
50 Every human body has about 1.35 to 2.3 Kg of bacteria.
