Bollywood-Dynamic Duos

In today’s weekend blog, I am back on Bollywood, and today I am writing about some Bollywood duos who are not famous like  Ranbir Kapoor  Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh, Amitabh & Jaya Bachchan,  Kajol & Ajay Devgn , etc, but these duos deserve more appreciation that they get.

Here are some of these Dynamic Duos:

1 Vishal Bhardwaj and Rekha Bhardwaj

Vishal is a director/producer/music composer and Rekha is a soulful singer. The movies that he makes have a niche audience. No matter what genre he selects his films always have a dark side. From Maachis, 7 Khoon Maaf, Maqbool, Omkara, and Kaminey to Haider, his movies have complex protagonists and risky plots. Matching his steps is his better half, her unconventional voice has given many super hit chartbusters songs like Kabira, Genda Phool, Raat Ke Dhai Baje, and many more.

2 Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak

This couple took character roles to another level. While Pankaj is a TV legend who was part of iconic shows like Office Office and Karamchand, wifey will always be remembered as Hansa Behen from the Khichdi serial. Kapoor has also acted in many films Maqbool, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, whereas Supriya has also acted in many films, his famous films are Wake Up Sid, Bazaar, Ram Leela etc.

3 Nasseruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak

If you don’t know Maya Sarabhai aka Ratna Pathak is Supriya Pathak’s elder sister. Talent runs in Pathak’s blood as they are daughters of the late Deena Pathak. From playing Maya Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai to playing a bold character in Lipstick Under My Burkha recently. What’s more when you have a super-talented husband by your side, then it is win-win situation. Who does not know Nasseruddin Shah, this national award-winning actor has many feathers in his hat that to discuss his body of work one will have to write a book.

4 Ashwini Kalsekar and Murali Sharma

Ashwini has a vibrant personality and the way she brings her flavor to every role she takes up. Her career revolved around both films and TV. Her portrayal of Badie in the TV serial Kasamh Se was a class act. She also acted in films like All The Beat, Singham 2, and many more. Her spouse Murali Sharma is also a known face in the TV and film industry. Apart from Bollywood, Sharma has over sixty regional films to his credit. In Hindi films, he has played a villain many times.

5 R Balki and Gauri Shinde

They are a power couple. Finding solace behind the camera, both of them have brought amazing stories on the silver screen. While Balki’s directorial’s Padman, Cheeni Kum, and Paa won the public’s hearts, Gauri turned our hearts to mush with English Vinglish and Dear Zindagi. The best part about these two are that instead of trying to compete with each other they work together on each other’s films.

6 Vidhu Vinod Chopra  and Anupama Chopra

Chopra received success from the word go. His first student short film, Murder at Monkey Hill, won the National Award for Best Short Experimental Film. His films  Parinda, and 1942: A Love Story became classics. His collaboration with Raju Hirani resulted in several blockbusters like the Munnabhai series, PK, 3 Idiots, and Sanju.
