Confident People

CONFIDENT PEOPLE have a particular set of habits and traits. They are not arrogant, but they have a particular air about them. So what are these traits which other people want to emulate?

A few of these traits are listed below

1 They are decisive

A confident person is likely to decide on something and set their mind to it. When a confident person decides they want to do something, nothing stands between them and their goal. They have confidence in their decision-making and they don’t second-guess whether they are making the right decision.

2 They don’t need others’ approval

A confident person doesn’t feel the need to go around and take everyone else’s opinion. They do not need to get approval before they do something, as they trust in themselves which means they do not need approval from others.

3 They stick things out

Even when things get tough, confident people always remind themselves that they are good at what they do and that they can make their dreams a reality. You will not find a confident person throwing in the towel and giving up because they do not think they can do something. A confident person will be able to proceed ahead even when things get tough because they believe in themselves.

4 Their body language speaks

There are many non-verbal cues that will help you to identify the confident person, this includes walking with your shoulders back, and chest and gaze up. You will never see a confident person dragging their feet while looking at the ground. They do not want to hide and shy away from the world. Eye contact is another signal that they are comfortable in any situation.

5 They are not afraid to seek help

Confident people don’t have an issue asking for help when they need it. They are not like other people who are afraid to ask for help, because they think it makes them seem weak or incapable. Confident people know and accept that they are not experts at everything, and they can learn from others.

6 They are risk takers

Confident people have higher risk-taking traits, this is because they have a belief in themselves and in things working out for them. They will be more prone to explore the unknown and even go into totally unknown territory because they believe in themselves.

7 They connect other people

Confident people do not live in fear that they are going to be abandoned by others. They do not believe that they will lose out on friendships if they connect with their network of friends. They love connecting with other people in their lives, irrespective of whether they will be professionally helpful. Simply put, they have no issue with connecting with people that they know will get along.

8 They listen more than they speak

Confident people do not feel the need to constantly assert themselves or let other people know about how successful or talented they are. Because of their true confidence in themselves, they do not feel the need to seek validation from external sources. They do not feel the need to constantly talk about themselves. Rather than trying to assert themselves and dominate a conversation, confident people spend more time listening. They are more likely to ask the other person about what they are doing in their lives.

9 They do not pass the judgment

A confident person does not go through life judging others. Those with low esteem judge others and feel the need to put other people down in order to feel good about themselves. As confident people feel good about themselves, they do not feel the need to judge others. In general, comparing yourself to others does no good for anyone involved, and it should be avoided.

10 They share their ideas freely

Confident people know that sharing their ideas can increase their power and also introduce them to new perspectives and possibilities. They see the power in sharing and collaboration, rather than keeping things sorted themselves because they are not fearful of another person stealing their ideas.
