In today’s weekend blog, I am writing about Bollywood star kids who failed to make it big as compared to their fathers/mothers. Let us take a look at some of these star kids:
1 Zayed Khan– Son of actor Sanjay Khan, he debuted in 2003 in the film ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’ with another newcomer Esha Deol (who is being covered separately). This film was a super flop. After that, he was seen with Shar Rukh Khan in ‘Main Hoon Na’, which was a super hit. Other films in which he worked did not take his career anywhere.
2 Uday Chopra– Son of Producer/Director Yash Chopra. He made his debut on ‘Mohabbatein’, which was a hit although it was multi starrer. However, the movies that followed soon after did not yield any magic, except his role in Dhoom series.
3 Tusshar Kapoor– Son of actor Jeetendra. He made his debut in ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’ which was a hit. His later movies in which he acted did not fare well at the box office, except Golmaal series, where he acted as a mute person.
4 Harman Baweja– Son of Producer/Director Harry Baweja. He just acted in a few films, and his debut film ‘Love Story 2050’ was bombed at the box office. He was in the news because of his slight resemblance to Hrithik Roshan, and his rumoured affair with Priyanka Chopra.
5 Fardeen Khan– Son of actor Feroze Khan. His debut movie ‘Jaanasheen’ failed at the box office. The other movies which followed after did not do well except ‘Pyar Tune Kya Kiya’ and ‘Jungle’.
6 Suneil Anand– Son of legend Dev Anand. He made his debut with ‘Anand and Anand’. He has mere four films to his credit, and most of us do not really know about three films.
7 Kumar Gaurav– Son of legendary actor Rajendra Kumar. He made his debut with ‘ Love Story’ in 1981, which was a blockbuster hit and made him the talk of the town. Thereafter none of his films made an impact at the box office. Later he acted in a few multi-star cast films, but even that did not help his career.
8 Esha Deol– Daughter of legends Dharmendra and Hema Malini. He made his debut with ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poocho’ in 2002. However in the coming years her career graph no signs of growing, she had only one super hit film ‘Dhoom’ to her credit.
9 Rajiv Kapoor– Son of ‘the Great Showman of Hindi Cinema’ Raj Kapoor. He made his debut with ‘ Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ in late 70s. He worked in a few films in later years, but his only film worth remembering is ‘Ram Tera Ganga Maili’ directed by his father.
10 Puru Raajkumar– Son of actor Raaj Kumar. He made his debut with a film called ‘Brahamchari’ in 1996, which was not a successful film. Later on, he turned to negative roles, but there was hardly any improvement in his career.
11 Faisal Khan– Son of Producer Tahir Hussain and brother of Aamir Khan. He made his debut with ‘Madhosh’. Other movies that came after that also failed at the box office, even a film called ‘Mela’ in which he acted in a supporting role with his brother Aamir Khan.
12 Luv Sinha– Son of Shatrughan Sinha. He only acted in a film called ‘Sadiyaan’ which was released in 2010 and flopped miserably. After that nothing has heard about him.
13 Jacky Bhagnani- He is the son of Producer Vashu Bhagnani. He made his debut in a film called ‘Kal Kisne Dekha’ in the year 2009.-, which was a box office disaster. One of his film ‘F A L T U saw a bit success, but after that no film made an impact.
14 Adhyayan Suman– Son of actor Shekhar Suman. He has done about 8 films till date, none of which were able to mark at the box office. He was in the news for some time for his rumoured affair with Kangana Ranaut.
15 Tanishaa Mukerji– She is the daughter of actress Tanuja and the sister of Kajol. She has also acted in a few films, but nothing succeeded. She is best remembered for her small role in Sarkaar.
16 Kunal Goswami– Son of actor/producer/director Manoj Kumar. He made his debut as a child artist in his father’s film ‘Kranti’. He just acted in 4 films. In a film called ‘Kalakar’ he even acted with Sridevi. This film had a song ‘Neele Neele Ambar Par’ which is still very popular.
There are many other star kids who flopped, some of them are- Kunal Kapoor and Karan Kapoor (sons of Shashi Kapoor), Sanjay Kapoor (brother of Boney and Anil Kapoor) he flopped in films, but he is still acting OTT platform, Sikander Kher ( son of Anupam Kher) flopped in films, nowadays still acting in OTT platform, Shahdaab Khan (son of Amzad Khan), Mimoh Charavorty (son of Mithun Chakravorty)
There are a few others, who are from the recent era and they still have to make an impact- Ananya Pandey (daughter of Chunkey Pandey), Sara Ali Khan (daughter of Saif Ali Khan), Karan and Rajveer Deol (sons of Sunny Deol), Shanaya Kapoor (daughter of Sanjay Kapoor), Jahnvi Kapoor (daughter of late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor) and many more to come.
