In today’s weekend blog, I am on cricket.
On 9th March 2025, India beat New Zealand to win the ICC Champions Trophy. This was India’s third straight final in ICC-conducted events. Out of these three tournaments, India won two, the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Champions Trophy 2025. They lost the ODI World Cup 2023 to Australia. It has been a remarkable achievement for Team India in the last 18 months, as they lost just one match in these three ICC-conducted tournaments.

4 India beat Australia (SF) by 4 wickets – Aus 264 (49.3), Ind 267-6 (48.1).
5 India beat New Zealand (final) by 4 wickets-NZ 251-7 (50), Ind 254-6 (49).
So friends you can see Team India’s dominance in the white ball cricket (ODIs and T20s) tournaments conducted by the ICC. They just lost only one match out of 26 matches they played in these tournaments. It was a total team effort, and all the players contributed as per their strength, to see that Team India perform well. It has become clear in the cricketing world that Indian team can not be taken lightly when it comes to ODIs and T20s matches.
