Indian Companies Ruling the World

In the current global scenario, every consumer product is marketed for global consumption, and if it is liked by the consumers, then it becomes successful. There are a few Indian consumer goods companies whose products are available in many countries worldwide. Given below are some Indian companies whose products are ruling the world.

At No. 8 is EVEREST MASALA

Everest company was started in 1966 by Vadilal Shah, who started this company from his 200 square feet shop, and today it is the biggest masala company in the country and has got more than 50+ masalas in its range, and every year it sells more than 370 crore masala packets. Everest masala are exported to more than 80 countries in the world. In the year ended 2023 the company sale was Rs 2600 Cr.

7 AMUL

It is the biggest dairy company of India. The company started its production in 1946. In 1949 V Kurien got associated with Amul, and he made Amul as no. 1 milk brand of the country. More than 36 lakh farmers are associated with Amul, and everyday company collects more than 3 cr litres of milk. Amul exports its products to more than 60 countries. Its turnover in year ended 2022-23 was Rs 72,000 cr.

6 HALDIRAM

The company was started by Ganga Bishan Agarwal in Bikaner, Rajasthan in the year 1937. He started with small shop selling namkeens and mithais. Today it is India’s biggest snack company. It has  400+ products in its range, and its products are not only famous in India but also overseas. Haldiram’s products are sold in more than 80 countries. In the year ended 2023 Haldiram had a turnover of Rs 9,215 Cr.

5 BRITANIA

It is the largest selling biscuit company in India, the company was started in 1892 by 5+ Britishers in the city of Calcutta. Now this company is owned by Nusli Wadia group. Along with biscuits, company also manufactures dairy products. Its products are being sold in more than 60 countries across the world. In the year ended company’s turnover was more than 16,000 cr.

4 ASIAN PAINTS

The company was started by four Gujarati friends in 1942 from small garage in Bombay (now Mumbai). With market share of 42%+, Asian Paints is India’s biggest paint company. The company also makes chemicals, industrial fittings. The company is also famous globally, it has 27 manufacturing plants in 15 countries, and its products are sold in more than 60 countries. In the year ended 2023 its turnover was Rs 35,400 cr.

3 MADRAS RUBBER FACTORY (MRF)

The company was started by KMM Pillai in 1946 in Madras (now Chennai). It started  with small toy balloon business and started manufacturing tyres and tubes in 1960. Today it holds 25%+ market share of tyre industry in India, and is country’s no. 1 tyre company. The company’s products are sold in more than 90 countries in the world. Turnover in 2022-23 was Rs 23,600 cr.

2 PIDILITE

You must have used this company’s product many times, their famous products are Fevicol, Feviqwik and M Seal. The company was started by Balwant Parekh in 1959 in Bombay. That time carpenters were using animal glue, which used to give bad smell. The company started making solution based glue called Fevicol. The products manufactured by Pidilite are being exported to more than 70 countries. The company’s turnover was Rs11,848 cr in 2022-23.

 1 HERO TWO WHEELERS

The company was started by Brij Mohanlal Munjal in 1984. The company was started in collaboration with Japanese company Honda Motors, and Hero Honda became the brand for two wheeler motor bikes. In the year 2011 both Hero and Honda got separated. Today hero is India’s no. 1  two wheeler manufacturing company, and its bikes are exported to more than 40 countries. The company’s turnover was Rs 30,110 cr in 2022-23.

Above are the eight Indian companies whose products are not only famous in the country, but they are being sold in many countries across the world, and are competing with the best in the world.
