1 Elon Musk-$290.3 billion- He is working to revolutionise transportation both on earth, through electric car maker Tesla-and in space, via rocket producer SpaceX. Elon Musk’s electric car company Tesla is now valued at $800 billion. His rocket company SpaceX is now valued at nearly $100 billion.

2Jeff Bezos- $189.8 billion– He is Amazon’s founder and CEO. His position is not changed even after divorcing his wife in 2019 and transferring a quarter of his stake in Amazon to her. The e-commerce giant has reaped the benefits of  this coronavirus pandemic, with more people shopping online.

3 Bernard Arnault & Family- $175.9 billion– He is LVMH-France Chairman and CEO, and is the third richest person on the earth today. His net worth is resulting from his business across an empire of more than 70 brands including Louis Vuitton and Sephora.

4 Bill Gates-$135 billion– The cofounder of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Having founded the software giant Microsoft along with Paul Allen, he eventually sold much of his stakes in the company retaining just 1% of the shares and investing the rest in stocks and other assets.

5 Warren Buffet-$124.2 billion– Popularly known as the Oracle of Omaha, he is seen as one of the most successful investors of all time He runs Berkshire Hathaway that owns over 60 companies including the famous Geico Industries, Duracell, Dairy Queen Restaurant.

6 Larry Page-$119 billion– The co-founder of Google, and has also invested in Planetary Resources, the famed space exploration company, and is also funding “Flying Car” startup companies Kitty Hawk and Opener.

7 Larry Ellison- $116.2 billion– he has earned his net worth from Oracle, the software firm he cofounded 1n 1977. He quit as the CEO of the company in 2014, and now functions as the chairman of the board and chief technical advisor. He is on the board of Tesla after he purchased 3 million shares in 2018. He owns nearly all of the Hawaiian island Lanai.

8 Sergey Brin-$114.3 billion– The co-founder and board member of Alphabet. He also co-founded Google along with Larry Page in 1998, which went public in 2004 and become Alphabet in 2015.

9 Gautam Adani and family- $113.3 billion– Promoter of Adani group, he has segregated his multimillion business fortune into energy, logistics, agricultural, aerospace, and other sectors. The group is multinational conglomerate dealing with port operations, and developments in India.

10 Mukesh Ambani- $99.7 billion– He has been one of the richest men in Asia, for over a decade. He is the owner and Chairperson of Reliance Industries, which is generating revenue for him.

11 Steve Ballmer-$99.6 billion– He is the former CEO of Microsoft. His able leadership (2000-2014) during a tough time steered Microsoft towards sustainability and progress. In 2018 he invested $59 million in Social Solutions, a company that makes software for govt agencies and non-profit organizations.

12 Carlos Slim Helu and family-$90.9 billion– He and his family control America Movil, the biggest mobile telecom firm in Latin America. He also owns stakes in Mexican construction, New York Times, mining, and real estate companies.

13 Mark Zuckerberg- $82.7 billion– He is co-founder, CEO, and chairman of Facebook, he champions the social network that has become a go-to communications avenue today. He owns 15% stake in Facebook after the firm went public in 2012.

14 Francoise Bettencourt Meyers and family-$82.4 billion-   counted among the richest women on the earth, L’Oreal founders granddaughter, and her family own 33% stocks in the company which showed phenomenal growth in 2019.

15 Michael Bloomberg-$82 billion– An American businessman, politician, philanthropist, and author is the majority owner, co-founder, and CEO of Bloomberg L P. He was elected as 108yh Mayor of New York city. First elected in 2001, he held office for three consecutive terms.
