Today’s Polity 2

In my yesterday’s blog, I had discussed why minorities like Catholic, Dalits and Muslims are not in favour of Modi  being re elected as PM of the country. To day I am going to brief you , why all the opposition leaders and other political parties( who are not allies of BJP) are opposing Modi’s re election as PM. The fact is that, in reality all the opposition leaders are in awe of Modi and are afraid of him, but they do not show this openly as they have to run their shop. The reality is they all are wondering how Modi could do so much in 4 years, while party like Congress could not achieve the same in more than 55 years when they were ruling the country. I am listing below few points, which are giving sleepless nights for all the opposition leaders.

  1. How Modi’s name is among top 5 leaders of the world.
  2. Modi did demonitisation, but with all the propaganda by opposition, most of the general public stood by him, which was reflected in land slide victory in UP election which happened 2 months after demonitisation.
  3. Surgical Strike- there were some opposition leaders who were taken back by this move, and they even ask for proof of surgical strike, and in the end they became laughing stock.
  4. Triple Talaq Bill- in this issue he got wide public support, especially from Muslim women.
  5. Taking Electricity to all the villages in the country.
  6. Gas Cylinders to below poverty line citizens.
  7. Jandhan Yojana- Through Aadhaar card, Modi govt ensured that the subsidy amount reaches directly into bank account of  poor people. No middlemen and hence no corruption.
  8. Modi govt made lakhs of toilet in villager’s home.
  9. Most of the opposition leaders declared that Demonitisation is a big flop, but the fact is after demonitisation there has been increase in numbers of taxpayers by 62%, there was record tax collection in 2017-18, more than 2.25 lakhs fake companies  were closed, even GST which came during the year made recorded collection of Rs 1 lakh Crore. There was drop in terrorist attacks in the country after demonitisation, now the terrorists attack are only limited to J & K state.
  10. In 4 year tenure of Modi govt there are no scams, but the opposition  is shouting from roof top about PNB scam which surfaced recently, but the opposition never tells that all  mode of loans were approved during UPA 2 regime.

The above are few salient points, on which opposition has no answers, but they only shout and yell and with friendly mediawho keep on saying Modi is corrupt and he is failure, but without any concrete proof.

There is one more charge, which opposition leaders are levying against Modi is that with him at the helm of affair, democracy is in danger as he is autocratic. But they are forgetting their own autocratic leaders like Nehru & Indira Gandhi. The democracy came into danger during Indira’s time, when she went against the court order and did not resign from Prime Minister ship and imposed emergency.

Now let us discuss the political parties whose leaders are saying that democracy is in danger, most of these parties are of dynastic in the nature and they do not believe in inner party democracy. Following parties  in reality are of dynastic in nature:

  1. Indian National Congress- Presently headed by  Rahul Gandhi, after his mother Sonia Gandhi passed the baton to him, after remaining the president for more than 2 decades. They hardly have elections in the party and for show off they have the Presidential elections where only one nomination is being filed by member of Gandhi family.
  2. Samajwadi Party- Founded by Mulayam Singh about 3 decades back, and now his son Akhilesh Yadav is  Chief of the party. Mulayam Singh’s brother, nephews, daughter in law are all in politics, are either MP or MLA in UP govt.
  3. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)- Founded by Laloo Prasad Yadav about 3 decades back, as he  has been convicted and sentenced to jail in corruption cases, his 2 sons are looking after party.
  4. Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP)- Founded by Kanshi Ram, taken over by Mayawati after his death. The party was founded for the upliftment of Dalits. For last 2 decades Mayawati is running this as her personal party, and has uplifted herself from being poor lady. It is being rumored that along with her,  her brothers also has amassed enormous wealth.
  5. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)- Presently Arvind Kejriwal is  President of the party, he runs the same as per his whims and fancies. Most of other co founders have left the party seeing his autocratic behaviour.
  6. Shiv Sena (SS)- Founded by Bala Saheb Thackerey, after his death his son Udhav is running the show and he has started grooming his son Aditya , in party affairs as Youth Sena  chief. In fact they are part of NDA and Sena members also are in Modi’s cabinet, Shiv Sena is also part of govt in Maharashtra in alliance with BJP,  but generally they behave as opposition. But they are not resigning from the govt  either in Centre or in state, as they want to enjoy the benefits of the chair, but also want to oppose Modi and BJP.
  7. Janata Dal  Secular (JDS)- headed by Ex PM Deve Gowda, his son Kumarswamy has taken over as CM of Karnataka, with Congress support.
  8. DMK- founded by C Annadurai, presently  headed by  Karunanidhi , his son MK Stalin is slated for taking over from him.
  9. Trinamul Congress (TMC)- founded by Mamata Banerjee, after she came out of Congress in late 90s. Presently she is CM of Bengal, as she has not married, so she is grooming her nephew .

There are many more small parties who are running as one man show in a pure autocratic manner, indicating dynastic nature of the party.

In the country BJP is the only party which is not based on dynastic nature. It is purely a cadre based party where the ordinary worker from grass root level can rise and become Minister, and Narendra Modi is the prime example, who rose from the ranks and first became CM of Gujarat and then PM of the country, now can some one predict who will be next president of BJP after Amit Shah. But in case of Congress’s  case we can tell unless Rahul Gandhi decides that he do not want to remain president, then he will only chose and name of the next president, may be his sister or her children even.

So it is my personal opinion that all these leaders are opposing  Modi for their survival and not for the love for the country, and if you ask these leaders what are their plans for improving the country’s infra structure, GDP, tax, revenue etc, then these leaders will be speechless, their only slogan is remove Modi ,so they can survive and loot the country.

In the end what you say my friends.

I agree that most leaders opposing Modi are doing it for their own survival. I am not for BJP but it is no other viable & reliable alternative.
