Friends, nowadays in the media there is only one news which is gaining prominence is whether Modi will come back in 2019 or not. Every Politic Pundit and analyst is giving his/her views on this topic and there are so many religious leaders who have also entered into  this fray, and they have started giving their opinions. In the Indian Politics history, never a forthcoming election, which is still 11 months away, has been given such an importance. Why is this happening- has Modi turned out to be a such a bad PM, that all the opposition parties and minority Political and religious leaders are after him and have started making efforts to dislodge him OR it is reverse that Modi is doing some thing which is good for the country and accordingly these people are losing their importance and also losing financially.

Now let us first talk of religious minorities:

Catholics- Why Church and their religious leaders are opposing Modi. As per the information, they are unhappy because during Modi’s regime the funding for various Catholic NGO’s have been curtailed, it has been reported that cash flow to dubious NGOs who were receiving foreign aids under Foreign Contribution Regulations Act (FCRA) is reduced from Rs 17,773 Cr in 2015-16 to Rs 6795 Cr in 2016-17, and which may have further come down in the year 2017-18. There are many NGOs who have lost their registrations just because they were receiving funds but using for their personal goals and not for the people’s welfare for which it was received. Secondly during earlier regime of Congress the Church and NGOs were having free hand and there was no one to question them, but this govt is asking for the accounts of the funds which they have received.

Now let us talk  about Muslims- They are angry with Modi for so many reasons. First Modi govt asked for the details about the grant which they were receiving for their Madarsas. When the govt did the audit based on the Aadhaar cards, it was found that there were lakhs of students name which were missing from the list and govt was giving grant on per student basis, so the Religious leaders who were running these Madarsas lost Crore of Rupees which were pocketed by themselves in the name of grant. Next is Haj subsidy- Modi govt started pointing out that no other country , even Islamic country, is  giving subsidy to their citizens for going on the Haj pilgrimage, which our earlier govts were giving to Indian Muslims. In this case also foreign grants to various Muslim NGOs  were also curtailed , as in the case of Catholics. Next was the issue of Triple Talaq- the issue of triple talaq has being discussed for last so many years, and Muslim women organisations were demanding the  ban on triple talaq, but Muslim Personal Law Boards and Clerics were never in favour of abolishing the same and their contention was govt has got no rights to interfere in their Personal Law. Even the Supreme Court gave the verdict that triple talaq is against the constitution and ordered govt to bring the law for abolishing triple talaq, which Modi govt did. Muslim also feels that BJP is pro Hindu party and hence they are opposing  Modi. It is common knowledge that so many Muslim women voted for BJP in last UP elections when BJP declared that they will bring the law to ban triple talaq. One more factor , for which Muslims hate BJP is that of Babri Masjid demolition, which Muslim feels that Right wing organisation demolished the Masjid and BJP was part of it. The problem is that Muslim leadership wants to have their cake and eat it too. Their leaders say they will follow their own Personal law as per the Sharia law but for crimes committed by Muslims they want Indian Criminal law, there they do not want Sharia criminal law, as the Sharia criminal law is very strict. But the point is a democratic country can not have  different sets of law for citizens of different religion, but the earlier govt at centre had treated Muslims as their vote banks and gave them freedom on this issue. Modi govt while quoting constitution says that there should be common civil law.

Dalits- They are considered to be Hindu minority section of the society, and politicians have also used them as their vote banks. There are so many political leaders who stand by them, and consider them as their vote banks. Prominent Political Parties who consider Dalit community as their vote banks are Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and almost all the political parties provide lip service for the Dalit community and they all say we will do wonder for your community, but on the name of Dalit these political leaders fill their own coffers and do very little for the community. All these political leaders who are thriving on Dalit politics hate Modi, as he has different approach for Dalits,  he says for him all the poor people are same for the govt irrespective of caste and religion, and all should get the benefit of  all the govt scheme meant for poor people.
