Some interesting news stories on this Wednesday of Feb 2020, which I would like to share with you all. These stories are in news for quite some times.
1 You must have heard the term ‘Love Jihad’ many times in the context of love marriages. In our country Love Jihad is generally applied to inter religion marriage where the boy is getting married to a girl from different religion with the intention of forcibly converting the girl to boy’s religion. Here the term is generally refer when a Muslim boy in the pretext of love marries a Hindu girl and later converts her forcibly to Islam religion and sometimes even involve in her terrorist activities. Some times even this applies to Muslim Boy/Christian Girl or even Christian Boy/Hindu Girl.
Recently in Parliament, in reply to a question raised by a Congress member, whether any central agency has reported any case of ‘Love Jihad’ from Kerala in past 2 years. Minister replied that as per Home Ministry, the term ‘Love Jihad’ is not defined under the extant of laws. So no such case has been reported by any central agencies, however, two cases from Kerala involving inter faith marriage have been investigated by National Investigating Agency (NIA).
Reacting on this reply The Spoke person of Syro Malabar Church said” We have analysed the written information provided by Union Home Ministry, about ill advised inter religion love affair known as ‘Love Jihad’, which has no interpretation in the existing Indian Law. We are seriously concerned over this matter of inter religious love affairs /marriages in the light 0f what is happening in Kerala among the young boys/girls of different religions. We demand the cases be investigated as a matter of serious concerns to the society in general”.
In my opinion this issue is being discussed, because girls from one community were involved with boys from different religious communities, if it would have been vice versa then no issue would have been raised. As in these both the cases, because it involved boys/girls from of 2 minority religion groups. As in India all the minorities are only interested in raising their populations, so if girls from other religions comes to one religion, then the chances of adding more people to first religious group decreases, which means that with less number of girls , less girls who can become mother to add to community’s population.
2 Friends you all aware that after CAA became operative, there have protests in many state, where people from Muslim community started agitating against this act, and to save their vote banks some political parties started supporting these agitating groups. Instead of explaining this act to agitating people, these parties added fuel to fire. This act has been passed by both the houses of Parliament and it never says that the existing Muslim citizens of India will be effected by this act. This act only says that Hindus, S ikhs, Buddhists, Parsi, Jain & Catholics from neighbouring Islamic countries ( Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan) , if they are religiously persecuted then they can get Indian citizenship after full filling certain conditions. But here Muslims are agitating as if they are going to loose their citizenship of India.
Now one group of people are sitting in Dharna in Shaheen Bagh locality of Delhi for more than 45 days, and there are thousands of people who are participating in this Dharna. With approaching Delhi state election, this issue has taken another twist. Congress , AAP and another parties who think Muslims as their vote banks are supporting this Dharna, and it is rumoured that both Congress and AAP are funding the various groups who are managing this Dharna. It has been said that no outsider is allowed to enter Shaheen Bagh area, and there have been people who have described their experiences when they entered that area and how they were threatened and how they manage to get out and save their lives.
Latest controversy on this this developed when one person who entered in that area and started firing, and later he was handed over to police. Now yesterday Delhi police came out and declared that the person name is Kapil Baisala who was arrested for firing is Aam Aadmi Party member (AAP). The AAP spoke person hit back and started questioning the police investigation. As you all know that Police and Law/order is with central govt in Delhi state, so AAP is blaming BJP, who is ruling the central govt. The BJP party President JP Nadda said ‘ for political longing, Kejriwal and his people even sold the security of the country. Earlier, Kejriwal used to insult the Army an advocate terrorists. He further added that he wanted to make it clear to Kejriwal that country is bigger than any elections. With this AAP has been exposed.
Police stated that Baisala joined the AAP with his father in early 2019, and they have photos of the same.
This move of Congress and AAP to support these groups looks like have misfired, because they must have thought police will use their force to break this agitation at Shaheen Bagh and they will be able to say that BJP,who is ruling at centre, has instructed the police force to use the force on these peaceful agitators and they will be able to garner sympathy votes. But nothing of this sort happened, and now both Congress and AAP are clueless about what to do next. With elections in Delhi happening in few days, it is going to be tricky affair.
