The riots happening in Delhi have been in the news for last so many days. There are conflicting reports regarding on who initiated the riots, Muslim claim that it was on the initiative of Sangh Parivar the riots were started while Hindus claim vice versa. But the end result is many innocent lives were lost, hundreds injured and many properties destroyed. People from both the communities were rendered homeless etc etc.
Delhi has seen many communal riots starting from the partition time. If you go back to history the Muslims thought as before the British raj started , Mughals were ruling India so after the British left they wanted to claim the control of India, although they were able to get the Islamic state of Pakistan after partition. On the contrary Hindus have been tolerant always, otherwise after partition India would not have become secular state with equal rights to all minorities including Muslims. The basic mistrust started when the govt after govt started appeasing the Muslims and started treating them as their vote banks, there were populist measures which were offered to Muslims like subsidy for Haj yatra, salaries of Imam and other clerics to be paid by govt, Madarsas allowed to teach Islam religion, where as Hindus going on yatra to Amarnath and other holy places were taxed, Priest from temples were not paid by govt, and no Hindu religion based texts were allowed to be taught in schools.
One question which comes to my mind is why any member of Sangh Parivar will like to start communal riots when PM (who is from BJP) is welcoming most powerful leader in the world, President of USA, in Delhi. They knew very well it will not be good for the image of PM, if the riots happen. But communal riots took place, and it becomes obvious that people from Sangh Parivar were not responsible for this riot, but when some one is attacking them they have to fight back, which no body expected. Why would any Hindu Nationalist kill Rattan Lal, a Hindu constable. Logically this riot would have been started by the people who do not like PM Modi and hate him, so just to malign him in the world the riot were started.
Second thing how did the IB officer Ankit Sharma, who was in plain clothes was identified by the crowd, and then stabbed 400 times and his body dumped in the gutter. Does it mean the supporter of PM Modi killed him. Only logical conclusion can be the it was members of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, who keeps tab on IB officers, were in the mob who identified the IB officers and butchered him. One more thing why any member of Sangh parivar points gun in the face of police constable. The photo of this went viral in each and every media, and after few gays this man was arrested. This Muslim man was outsider and not from Delhi. Some ISI officer went on to claim that on any given time ISI can trigger the communal riots in 50 cities across India.
On the day US President visited India #indianmuslimsindanger started trending on social media. Before the riot started a Muslim leader named Waaris Pathan in a public speech said that “freedom is not easily available, we have to snatch our freedom from India. Now the time has come for our mothers and sisters to join our fight. We have send our lioness on the forefront at Shaheen Bagh, imagine what will happen when Lions come out. We are only 15 Cr but we will out beat 100 Cr Hindus. Young Indian Muslims are more potent and better warriors than Hindus.” If police stops for half an our we can wipe entire Hindus- was another slogan.
In my opinion, the protest at Shaheen Bagh went for months and still govt never responded and took any action. These protesters were hoping that Govt will take action and remove the protestors forcefully, and on that reason the riots can be created, but nothing of this sort happen. So in the end the protesters with outside help engineered these riots and started blaming Hindu fundamentalist. Why should a Hindu fundamentalist act in this way. Hindus know CAA is not affecting any citizen of the country, it only affect illegal Muslim immigrants, so that is the reason Muslim started process, because they also want citizenship on the basis of CAA, which is not possible because these Muslims have entered India not due to persecution by religion from their original country, they have entered India for different reason and govt is within their rights to deny citizenship to them. For any other reasons if Muslim from Islamic country applies for citizenship, by due course of law the application is looked into, and decision taken accordingly. There are many Muslims who have been given Indian citizenship.
