In anticipation of verdict from Supreme Court (SC) will be in favour of Birth place of Lord Ram, the BJP govt at Centre was ready with the blue print of how to develop Ayodhya and make it as one of best religious centre of the world. As per verdict, the govt at centre is making a trust on war footing basis, who will take over the disputed land, as the land now belongs to Central Govt. In the media there is a news circulating that Amit Shah, the BJP President & Home Minister, Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath will be also in the board of trustees. Some of the salient features of Ayodhya’s development are listed below:
1 First govt will constitute Ayodhya Tirth Vikas Parishad (Ayodhya Pilgrimage Development Corporation).
2 Ayodhya railway station will have huge expansion, the funds allocation will be about Rs 100 Cr.
3 There will be 5 Km long Flyover between Ayodhya and Faizabad to facilitate road traffic movement.
4 On the banks of Saryu river in Ayodhya, a statue of Lord Ram will be constructed, which will be tallest in the world having a height of 251 meters.
5 There is plan to construct International Airport in Ayoydhya, and work will commence by early next year.
6 A five star hotel is being planned at Ayodhya and by the end of this year hopefully the construction will start.
7 Along with this five star hotel, 10 big tourist resorts are also under planning.
8 The design of Grand Lord Ram temple is already in place, and more than 65% of carved stones are ready for this purpose. It is expected that temple will be ready in next two and half years.
9 In Saryu river, there is plan of operating tourist cruise boats/ships.
10 Ayodhya will be developed like the town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.
11 The Lord Ram temple complex will be the biggest religious centre of the country.
12 There will be new Bus Terminal of International standards in Ayodhya, and the work on the same will be started very shortly.
13 The area within 5 Km of Lord Ram Temple, will be looked after this proposed trust.
14 There will be many more religious places constructed in the city of Ayodhya.
15 Near the Lord Ram temple, Gau Shalas (Cow Shelter place), Dharamshalas (low budget boarding houses) and Veda centres will also be constructed.
16 There will 10 gates constructed in the city of Ayodhya, which will be dedicated to Lord Ram.
17 Ayodhya will be developed as spiritual and religious city.
18 Rain Basera (night shelter) numbering 10,000 will be constructed for needy/poor persons.
All these works are expected to be completed within next 3 years.
Lord Ram Janam Bhoomi movement which started in late 80s after Gates of Babri Masjid Complex was open by then PM Rajiv Gandhi and Shilanyas for Temple was performed. This fight for temple at Ram Janam Bhoomi was picked up by BJP and Sangh parivar and its associate like Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which resulted in BJP capturing 85 Lok Sabha seats in 1989 from 2 seats in 1984. Then the Rath yatra of then BJP president LK Advani & stoppage of Rath Yatra by Bihar CM Laloo Prasad , blood bath and killings of peaceful protestors in Ayodhya on the order then CM of UP Mulayam Singh Yadav and demolition of Babri Masjid by Kar Sevaks & later riots in many cities across country after the Masjid demolition are few of salient happenings in this movement for the fight of temple of Lord Ram at his birth place in Ayodhya. And lastly the cases in various courts in the country on this matter, which were all consolidated in one case and Allahabad High court gave the verdict in 2010, which was challenged by Muslim organisations in SC. At last the matter ended on 9th Nov 2019, with the verdict of SC.
I still remember a statement by LK Advani, and he said “ when BJP will be in power at Centre with absolute majority, then we will see that temple of Lord Ram will be built at its right place”. So his prophecy is proven correct and taking a shape. I hope he is alive when the Lord Ram temple is inaugurated in near future, as his age is now 90+.
