Like Emergency

Yesterday Congress spoke person gave a statement that situation in the country is like Emergency. I want to ask Congress on what basis their spoke person has given such statement. Have they forgotten what was the condition of the country during emergency imposed by then PM  Indira Gandhi.

If  Congress is forgotten, then I am elobrating few points so that their memory can come back:

1.PM Gandhi imposed emergency to save her Prime Minister ship, because HC had  unseated her from Lok Sabha. There was no alarming or war like situation in the country, only political parties and their supporters we’re protesting against Indira Gandhi.

• 2.After the Emergency was declared, there was total censorship of press. That time there was no TV media, only DD which was state controlled was notelecasting from few major cities.

3.Most of the political leaders from opposition parties were imprisoned.

4.There was fear in general public’s mind, as any one could be arrested on any charge.

5.People from art and cinema were un necessarily pressurised to perform in govt sponsored function. When Kishore Kumar,the great play back singer, refused to perform in one of the govt function his songs were banned on All India Radio and Doordarshan.

6. People were forcibly sterilised for family planning measures. Govt employees/doctors were given targets for getting people for forced sterilisation.

7.Sanjay Gandhi, son PM Indira Gandhi was almost behaving as he is running the govt, who can forget his orders of razing muslim’s colony in Turkman Gate, near Jama Masjid in Delhi.

8.Indira Gandhi never bothered to consult any of his senior cabinet colleagues. She was only advised by her son Sanjay Gandhi, and few of her chamchas.

9.News paper before printing and publishing had to take the clearance from govt. Same applied for magazines. I still remember the front page of Indian Express was totally blanked on day except only one word in bold Censored.

Can Congress spoke person on record tell if there are any situations like cited above are prevailing in the country, then on what basis he has chosen to remark emergency like situation in the country.

It is opposition parties like Congress and others, who are instigating public to start agitation against  govt on any issue, be it de monitisation, farmers loans, Cow slaughter, GST, intolerance etc.

Congress has got no where to go, as elections after elections they are losing miserably. The party who was till few decades back was ruling almost every state in the country is now ruling only in 2 major states. Even if you see even at centre ,after 1989 they have ruled centre also for only 15 years. In 1984 they won 402 seats at centre which got reduced to 44 in 2014. What a come down.

So instead of making some irresponsible remarks, Congress should first try to set their house in order and then talk.
