MODI 2
So at last General Election 2019 is over, and results have been declared, and as predicted in Exit Polls BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won comfortably. BJP of their own won 300+ seats and NDA won 350+ seats, surpassing their tally of 2014 ( BJP 282 & NDA 336). This election was a total set back for Congress, they could win only 52 seats ( 2014-44 seats) and UPA reached the figure of 92 (2014-60). So second term in succession there will not be any leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. For getting Leader of Opposition of Post, party should get minimum 55 sets ( more than 10% of Lok Sabha’s strength of 543).
This General Election was the most fiercely fought election of independent India, when all the opposition parties had only one agenda ‘ of stopping Modi from coming back to power’. There was hate Modi campaign in every single media, and there were many fake news discrediting Modi. It looked like these pseudo secular gang had only one agenda to spread slur on Modi’s image, be it demonitisation, GST, Rafale, Modi’s family, corruption charges, attitude similar to Hitler etc etc. Congress President Rahul Gandhi through out the campaign was shouting from roof top that ‘ Chowkidar is Chor’ and there is big corruption in Rafale deal. And these charges he could not substantiate with any proof. On EVM what drama was created by whole opposition in Supreme Court (SC) and in Election Commission, by filing petitions after petitions that EVM can be rigged by ruling party. But at both the institutions they lost their face, SC even commented that when you win that time EVMs are OK, and when you are afraid of losing that time you start doing this drama of rigging/hacking.
Even after the elections were over and before the counting could start, Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee were trying for the opposition unit, so that in the event BJP/NDA does not get majority, opposition parties should be in position to form the govt. But the elections results never gave them opportunity even to have meeting on this subject, as BJP/NDA returned with the bigger majority than what they had in 2014. But the problem never ended for these opposition leaders- Naidu lost the Andhra assembly elections to Jagan Reddy, and a man who was dreaming of becoming Prime Minister, even lost his Chief Minister ship of Andhra, and even in Lok Sabha he could manage only 4 seats from Andhra. Sharad Pawar’s Party NCP could manage to win only 5 seats from Maharashtra, even his grand nephew lost the election. BJP winning 18 Lok Sabha seats from West Bengal gave a big jolt to Mamata Banerjee, who was also dreaming of becoming PM, post elections. Sonia Gandhi’s dream of seeing his son becoming PM, was shattered once again. The mahaghatbandhan of SP and BSP came cropper and won only 15 seats in UP. Only opposition party who did creditably well was DMK with 23 seats. What to say about Congress, they improved their tally from 44 to 52, and they never came even near of the figure where they could talk with other parties, to even talk about govt formation.
There was too much negativity in this election and that was basically due to Delhi’s Lutyens’ gang of pseudo seculars. They thought that as most of them are well connected with media, what ever news they will spread through media, will be believed by general public. As this Lutyens’ gang has been treated well by past so many years by Congress Govts at centre, they thought that they have become expert in Indian politics. They just managed to do what ever they thought was best for the Congress without stepping out from their air conditioned bunglows/offices, they never bothered to feel the pulse of common man. As they were losing their freebies, which Cong govt used to give them, they just went on spewing venom against Modi on media/ social media.
Congress thought by projecting negativity, they might be able to win, but in common people’s mind there were many positivity where Modi was concerned, and these things were Gas Connection to villagers, houses to poor citizens, direct transfer of any govt benefits to their bank account, army’s surgical strike in 2016 to avenge terrorists’ attack on Uri army camp, then air strikes in 2019 to destroy terror camps in Pakistani territory. These were the few things which touched the common man’s emotions, who thought here is this PM who thinks and cares about common people’s problem and their emotions.
Congress, once ruled the country and today they have just left with Lok Sabha representation in few states like Punjab, Kerala & Tamilnadu. In 18 states/union territories they did not win a single seat and in 8 of them they won only 1 seat each. After the results, there was usual drama in Congress Camp, regarding Rahul Gandhi accepting the blame for Congress’s defeat in this election and tendering his resignation as Party President to Congress Working Committee (CWC) and as expected CWC not accepting his resignation and requesting him take back the resignation letter, on which he did not make any comment, but as per latest news on internet, he has agreed to withdraw his resignation on Sunday night. So this type of drama always happen when Congress loses election.
How about the Award Wapsi gang, no one has said any thing on Modi’s spectacular victory in this election, but in one of the messages circulating in WhatsApp they say even after Modi’s victory we will keep on our fight for our rights of freedom of speech, secularism etc. No one had the courage to offer congratulations to Modi, even for name sake. What about the celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Naseerudin Shah, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, who were so vehemently speaking about intolerance, and some of them even said that they will leave the country if Modi is re elected, so public wants to know why they are not keeping their words and leaving this country, which is not fit for them to live in and political atmosphere not to their liking.
In my opinion there are many political parties and people associated with them have failed utterly to read public’s mind. In today’s India people do not believe in Caste, religion and freebies, they just want well planned progress, corruption free govt, national security, ease of finding work, and tax payers money to be used wisely ( indirectly tax payers money not to be used for distributing freebies and increasing politician’s/ministers’ personal wealth).
Friends, these are my personal opinions, you may or may not like them. But one thing is sure India is changing.

Looking forward to what Modi/BJP/NDA is doing to deliver on economic deleverables, unemployment, export, networks of revers, etc… It will also be interesting to see whether corrupts are getting punished or not as BJP has been biasing from before 2014… Otherwise Indians will easily forget what is mentioned in your today’s blog…The emotional connect which Modi has successfully made with people at large should be maintained and valued …. RS majority poll are little far…inthe mean time if he don’t deliver than RS majority and 370/35A removal will be dream only… Point is, this second term is going to be more crucial than first one and I would definitely like to see that Modi is victorious once again… I sincerely wish NDA/BJP AND MODI the very best… Long live Modi…
