Naming Game

Now a days , there has been strong views expressed by  pseudo secular and certain section of media on renaming the Railway Stations, Cities , Towns etc. One thing is certain now renaming is continious process and it will keep on happening ever where.

But really bothers me as why in our country most of the institutions, Airports, Ports and other places of national interest have been named after the leaders from one party and that too from one family. Given below the few names:

Sports/Tournaments/Trophies

1. Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Kabaddi Tournament.- I think Rajiv Gandhi may not have seen even one Kabaddi match
2. Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhana Run.
3. Rajiv Gandhi Federation Cup Boxing Championship. Never knew he was Boxing enthusiast.
4. Rajiv Gandhi International Football Tournament.

There are so many things even named after Sanjay Gandhi also.
