HC and Kejriwal

The Delhi High Court (HC) on 9th April 2024 dismissed the plea moved by the CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam case. About the Case Arvind Kejriwal had skipped nine summons issued to him by ED. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are also accused in the case. While Sisodia is still in judicial custody, Sanjay was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court (SC). Following his arrest Kejriwal had promptly moved an urgent petition before the SC challenging his arrest. However, the same was withdrawn later. Moreover, he has previously moved the Delhi HC (division bench) challenging the summons issued to him by ED. He has also filed an application seeking interim protection. The matter is fixed for hearing on 22nd April. Kejriwal had earlier skipped…

Connected Homes

We are approaching the age of smart cities where governments worldwide are turning to this concept. It seems when we have everything connected and build some Artificial Intelligence (AI) into it, it makes the world a better place. For example, smart street and traffic lights, smart home monitoring systems, smart surveillance systems connected to law-and-order systems, smart waste management systems, etc. are going to be the hallmarks of future smart cities. However, currently, we can start with CONNECTED HOMES, which can help us set up lighting, security, home appliances to even climate regulation within our homes. Let’s go a little deep into this subject of connected homes. Connect All Devices Just imagine if you could control all devices in your home from your smartphone. Your TV, air conditioner, light bulbs, oven, and even your door lock can be controlled from your phone. There are motion sensors that can automatically turn…

ODI Max Run In Over

In today’s weekend blog, I am writing on sports, and it is cricket. Cricket is a game of a fight between batsman and bowler. The batsman wants to score maximum runs in a 6-ball over, and the bowler wants to take maximum wickets in one over. Presently game of cricket has changed drastically with the advent of the T20 form of cricket, which has become a batsman game, and all the rules of this format are favouring batsmen. Before that there was One Day International (ODI)) matches of 50 overs, and here there were equal opportunities for both batsmen and bowlers. Each bowler could bowl a maximum of 10 overs, and batsmen were getting time to settle down and then going for big hits. Given below is the list of batsmen who were at the crease when the team score went up by so many runs in a single over…

Hypocritical USA

In recent times, it has been seen that the USA administration has started commenting on the internal affairs of India without any logic or valid reasoning, even when it has not directly affected them or their citizens. On the other hand  Indian government hardly comments on what is happening in the political events inside the USA, unless it directly affects Indian citizens residing in the USA. Here is one such example: Citizen Amendment Act (CAA)- You all are aware that this Act gives Indian citizenship right to displace Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Christians, and Parsis who are being persecuted in neighbouring Muslim countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. When the bill/Act was passed in the parliament, Muslims of India started protesting that it was unfair to them, and some of the political parties started propagating that Muslims citizens of India might lose their citizenship by this act. Even the USA…

Tit Bit News

Some tit bit of news that caught my attention today, would like to share the same with you: 1 Sometimes I failed to understand what is this INDI alliance. Now Kerala CM is telling why Rahul Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad,  Rahul is not contesting against any candidate of NDA. INDI alliance was formed only for the purpose of stopping NDA from coming back to power. The purpose is defeated as Rahul Gandhi is contesting against a CPI candidate, and CPI is part of INDI alliance. 2 In another state, namely Jharkhand, fissures have appeared in INDI alliance, with Left parties announcing candidates in eight of the state’s fourteen LS seats despite a tentative seat-sharing plan. As per the Left parties, they find themselves ‘almost left out’ in the seat-sharing talks, which take place between JMM, RJD, and Congress. 3 With Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal having been sent to judicial…

The Indian government 1974 signed an agreement with the Ceylon (Now Sri Lanka) government and gave the ownership to Ceylon. Roles Rejected by Kareena

In this weekend’s Blog, I am on Bollywood, and today I am writing about one female star whose judgment about rejecting the roles offered to her was not so good, she might have repented afterward. As the same roles enacted by other actresses in those films were applauded by the masses and critics, and in some cases, the actresses won the awards for the same roles. Friends, I am talking about KAREENA KAPOOR, the films that she rejected went to other popular actresses like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and Kangana Ranaut, among others, and changed the dynamics of their respective careers. Given below are some of the film roles rejected by her: 1 Goliyon Ki Raasleela-Ram-Leela– In an interview Kareena admitted that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had offered this film to her, but instead that time she opted for film ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’. The same role was then offered to…

Shingles

Friends, a few weeks back I came to know about a disease, that I was not aware of earlier, and many like me do not know about this disease. This disease is called SHINGLES. After doing some research, I found out more about this disease, which I want to share with you all. Shingles is a viral infection that causes a painful rash. It can occur anywhere in your body. It typically looks like a single stripe of blisters that wraps around the left or right side of your torso. Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus-the same virus that causes chickenpox. After you’ve had chickenpox, the virus stays in your body for the rest of your life. Years later, the virus may reactivate as shingles.
