Few thoughts on the 2nd Monday of Dec 2018.
- The question in everybody’s mind now a days is whether Vijay Mallaya will be extradited from the UK to India. Now Mallaya has started singing a different tune, he says that he is willing to return all the money to the creditor banks. He has made the statement that he has already made offer to Karnataka High Court, that I am ready to place my assets of Rs 14,000 Cr with you and HC can sell these assets under judicial supervision and the court can decide on payment to all creditors and employees. There is more than enough in the kitty. There is strong indications that he may lose the extradition case in UK court and he will have to come back to India. He has tried his level best for not to be extradited to India. His lawyers even went on to say about the pathetic conditions of Indian Prisons, but that argument was rejected by UK court when Indian team made the video presentation about in which jail and which room he will be lodged, if he is extradited to India. He even made the statement that before leaving India, he had met Arun Jaitley and made an offer to him about full repayment to banks , which Jaitley denied. My only contention is if he was so clear in his mind about repayment then why he fled the country. When Vijay Mallaya left the country he knew that there is a big problem for him, when he defaulted on his loan payment, and further he was aware that the present NDA govt will not give him any leeway like the earlier UPA 2 govt, otherwise he could have made an offer for settlement that time only. Now when he is aware that there is every chance of his being extradited he has started talking about the repayment by selling his assets to avoid jail. Then he has made one more statement that he has invested Rs 4000 Cr of his money in Kingfisher Airlines to streamline its operation. Vijay Mallaya has done any favour by investing this amount in Kingfisher Airlines, which happens to be the company which was promoted by him, Every businessman invests in his company, it seems Vijay Mallaya was used to invest only bank money in his business and Live life King size.
- Few days back , a Bollywood movie “ Kedarnath “was released all over India. Some radical organisation, before the release of this film, started protesting in Uttarakhand and specially area surrounding Kedarnath shrine , that movie depicts Hindus in not in proper manner, and calamity which happened few years back is just not shown properly. So no cinema Hall owners are ready to screen this movie in Uttarakhand , in fear of that some radical elements will attack their property and harm it. The fact is that the movie’s story revolves around a romance between a Muslim Porter boy and Hindu girl, during the time when this calamity happened. Their problem is that how a educated girl from good Hindu family can fall in love with a Muslim boy. My fellow countrymen this a just a movie, and Bollywood movies are mainly escapism movies, and they do not bother about all these things. The story writers and Producer/Director of Bollywood movies always thrives on Hindu/Muslim love stories, and all these people know this type of stories will generate lot of controversy and this will get them the free publicity for the movie. And one more thing I have noticed in all Bollywood movies- generally they show Hindu Girl falling in love with Muslim Guy and Muslim Girl falling in love with Hindu guy is a very rare instance. Why? Because people are more worried about the protests from Muslim community, when even pseudo secular political leaders & media reporters join these protests and add fuel to the fire.
- So tomorrow there will be election results from the 5 states assemblies, where election took place recently. Now what will be result is not known. Will it be WAKE UP CALL for BJP or CURTAIN CALL for CONGRESS ?
