What is the Congress Party’s problem?
All non-Congress governments formed before 2014 could not remain in power for long. The reason was that the government was formed, but the entire system was filled with Congress people. Whether it was the bureaucracy, judiciary, or media. After the government was formed, the Congress used its full power to bring them down and destabilise them from Day One, and eventually, they were dealt with. After that, either the coalition governments were formed, which remained in Congress’s pocket, or Congress itself remained in power at the centre.
Whether it was the government of Charan Singh after Morarji Desai, or VP Singh or Charan Singh or Devgouda or IK Gujral, their control was always in Congress’s hands. Congress did not even allow Vajpayee’s government to run initially until the BJP won the State elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, just a year before the Lok Sabha elections. When the BJP lost the 2004 Lok Sabha election, everyone was surprised, because there was no anti-incumbency atmosphere against Vajpayee. The fact is that the BJP lost the election due to the Congress system. Vajpayee was a simple man, and during his tenure, he did not pay any attention to this issue, which is not enough to just form a government, but it is also necessary to take over the system. But the situation changed after 2014, when the return of awards on the grounds of intolerance came to the forefront immediately after Modi became the Prime Minister. This means that even the henna of the new government had just come off, and they started plotting to make him a widow.
At the same time, several judges held a press conference against the Chief Justice of India.
Modi is not a simple person. He had already crushed the Congress’s conspiracy three times in Gujarat. BJP realised that if they wanted to stay in power for a long time, only governance alone would not work. There is also a need for internal support. Therefore, they sent many administrative officers by giving them VRS.
The powers of those people who were not with the government even after the government was formed have been neutralised in all the institutions.
This resulted not only in the Congress not coming to power in the Centre, but it gradually forced it out of the States, where Congress could gain power through an alliance.
It is natural that Rahul Gandhi has lost his mind and gone mad, but why is there no anti-incumbency against the BJP? The problem is that even after being angry with BJP, people are not willing to consider Congress as an alternative. Otherwise, any government that becomes unpopular on some or several counts, but the main opposition party still cannot come to power, is still baffling. Earlier, when the Indira Gandhi government or Rajiv Gandhi government or the Manmohan Singh government lost their popularity, they lost the next election, but in the case of Modi this is not happening, even after a negative campaign against the judiciary, administration, Election Commission and many other agencies.
Therefore, before beating their chest over vote chori, Gyanesh Kumar, EVM, Congress had to first fix their house and come out with the scheme: what is their plan for running the government in a better way than the Modi government? Only offering sops and freebies is not going to work in the present scenario. People want to know how you are going to run the administration, control corruption, foreign policy, financial projections, etc.
