Friends, yesterday due to some family issues, I could not post the blog, my apologies.
Last week I had written about Rohingyas issue, after that there have been few developments so again I am writing on the same issue. Briefly I am giving below some more details :
- Some organisation had filed a petition in SC that Rohingyas should be allowed to settle any where in the country, and SC then had asked Central Govt to submit their reply.
- The Central Govt while replying to SC notice on this issue curtly told the court that the dealing with illegal immigrants is part of Executive’s political domain and its validity can not be tested judicially, indirectly telling SC not to entertain pleas against the illegal immigrants Rohingyas in India.
- Govt further added that the militant elements among the illegal refugees/immigrants have links with Pakistan’s ISI and Islamic State (IS) which are working to abet the activities to destabilise India. The Govt further added that right to settle any where in India is not applicable to illegal refugees/immigrants.
- Within hours of filing reply in SC, the Home Ministry issued a statement that the Govt was well within the law and rights to deport them under the Foreigners act and Constitution of India. The spoke person of Home Ministry further reiterated Govt’s stand on Rohingyas and said ” the Govt did not approve illegal migration to its territories and of Indian citizens in foreign countries as matter of policy. It was further stated that Govt’s first duty is towards protecting its own citizens, the curbing of illegal immigrants is priority task since it had a big security , economic and social concerns and dangers the basic rights of Indian citizens. No illegal immigrants have right to stay without prescribed legal documents, nor they can reside any where and move freely under Article 19 of the Constitution, which is only for Indian citizens.
- BJP’s ally Bihar CM Nitish Kumar issued a statement that while taking decision on Rohingyas ,Govt should also look into humanity angle. While Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that all the illegal immigrants can not be branded as terrorists and let the Govt take step against those who have links with terrorism.
Now it is is sure that the Govt’s first concern is security and fight against terrorism and pseudu secularist are not clearly saying that they are talking about Muslims (Rohingyas ) but now are harping about humanity angle. Mamata Banerjee wants Govt to check the credentials of immigrants whether they have terror links or not, is this a joke. Govt is already struggling with filtering lakhs of illegal immigrants from Bangla Desh, which have crossed the borders with the blessings of Bengal govt and now Mamata wants to add more illegal immigrants from Myanmar. If Mamata is so concern about the plight of Rohingyas , why she is not appealing to International Communities to force Islamic nations to accept these refugees/immigrants, she just want to play vote bank politics to get Muslim votes. But Islamic countries do not want to accept immigrants, it happened recently when thousands of Syrian fled their country in the wake of wake of war , Islamic countries like Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and others never accepted them and in the end they entered the European nations. It is known fact that the Rohingyas were not accepted as ethnic group by Myanmar, but instead of fighting the Myanmar regime diplomatically/politically over the years they took to arms and started fighting the Military regime, and in this deed they were financed by Islamic terror groups. So when even General Public in Myanmar was fed up with deeds of Rohingyas then Budhist Monk Wirathu started preaching against Rohingyas and Budhist Monk started fight against Rohingyas by raising arms, and now it is public uprising against Rohingyas. Agreed that innocent men, women and children of Rohingyas are also suffering.
Now do we want Govt, who is fighting terrorism and terrorists on all fronts internally and externally, to add to their worries about new terrorism front of Rohingyas. My personal opinion is that the first concern of the Govt should be the nation and its citizens security and at this juncture humanity might have to take a back seat for certain duration.
What you say my friends.
Awaiting for your feed backs and comments.

When the Myanmar Nobel Peace prize winner her self is closing her eyes on this issue, India is fully justified in keeping them away
