Amarnath Yatra

Yesterday Islamic terrorists attacked Hindu devotees going to annual Amarnath yatra in Kashmir and killed 7 people and injuring many. This has also became an annual affair, for last so many years  there have been always attacks on the devotees going on pilgrimage. I do not know why J &K govt and security forces take care of  and provide a safe passage to pilgrims for this annual event. The only solace this year is that the CM of J&K Ms Mehbooba Mufti(seen in picture above) immediately rushed to the site of attack and visited injured in the hospital and instructed the administration to handle the situation efficiently.

Some stray thoughts on this matter:

1. Rahul Gandhi of  Congress Party as usual  has started blaming Modi govt on security lapses, there was no word of sympathy  for the killed pilgrims.
2. Suppose some incident had happened at some Islamic holy place like Ajmer Shariff Dargah or any other place, and Muslim devotee were killed, then there would have been hue and cry in pseudo secular media and Congress  men including Rahul Gandhi would have been rushing to console victim’s family members.
3. Now the bodies of some deceased are being brought to Surat in Gujarat, and now  dirty politics will be seen at their funeral as local politician and leaders of BJP  will rush to cremation grounds to have the photo opportunity and shed crocodile tears.
4. What has happened to Human Rights Organisations, they have not made any statements condemning the terrorist attack. In their opinion human rights is applicable only when there are deaths of people from Islamic community.
5. Now army chief has gone to Kashmir to review the security arrangements. Why after  the attack, why not before. It is known fact that Amarnath Yatra for last so many years have been under threats from Islamic terrorist groups, why the security is not beefed up earlier.
6. Army and police camps were just 500 meters away from the site of attack, and still the attack happened.It means definitely there was lapse on the part of security forces.
7. The police force said this vehicle was not part of  normal convoy and was not even registered with Shrine board, and it was returning from Baltal side and going to Jammu. As per the rule all non official vehicles headed for shrine has to be registered with board. As it was un registered vehicle therefore it did not have adequate security cover.
8. The question is how the bus was travelling after 7 pm, as no vehicles are permitted to ply after this dead line. Definitely there must have been security lapse at certain section of the route.

It has been a usual practice in Indian administration that they will always imagine that no un towards incident will happen,  so there will be always chalta hai attitude. Amarnath Yatra is a annual event, so why the administration and security forces are not geared up to tackle the terrorist attacks from the onset to full duration of yatra
