Congress

I am surprised about the internal happenings in the Congress Party. Their leaders give different statements on the same topic, and if some one’s statement is not matching with official version of the party then immediately a statement is issued by either official spoke person of the party or leader concerned that the  statement is the personal opinion of the concerned leader. I do not under stand that when you are leader of the party how can you start giving statements which are contrary to official position of the party, and that too to national print and visual media. There are  incidents in the recent past like statements on  surgical strikes, Demonitisation, working of BJP govt, GST and  many more, where statements of many leader differed.

Further what to say abou, their VP and soon to be party President of the party, Rahul Gandhi- recently he made a statement that UPA govt lost the elections of 2014 because that govt could never create enough jobs in  their rule of 10 years. Earlier the official statement of Congress was that they lost because of false propaganda promoted by Narendra Modi about Black Money, Corruption/scandals , dynasty politics etc. Congress party has become very happy because few of his meetings in his recent visit to USA were attended by NRIs, and they think this will revive Congress.

Recently I came across a news item on social media that UPA govt was ready to accede the Siachen Glaciers to Pakistan officially . This was first revealed by Wikileaks few months back but that time Congress party had denied the charges. But now Shyam Saran who was Foreign Secretary of India till 2006 who in his book ” How India sees the world” has revealed that he along with his counterpart Riaz Mohd Khan had struck a deal on orders of Congress govt to take back Indian troops from Siachen Glacier and hand the same to Pakistan. The deal was consented even by Indian army under pressure from govt, and mentioned its finer points including current positions of forces from both sides, and afterwards withdrawl position and joint monitoring mechanism to prevent mutual  intrusion. All this would have been annexure to main agreement. He further adds that  many rounds of consultations and discussions happened with ministerial levels of Home, Defence and Finance departments, whose members are part of  Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS).But it was during the meeting of CCS, the National Security Advisor (NSA) Chief MK Narayanan raised serious concern about the deal and argued about compromising the National security of the country. NSA Chief  further added that Pakistan could never be trusted and there will be political and public opposition to any such move and Indian Army’s position in the northern sector will be compromised.  Gen Singh , the Army Chief who till that time sided with Govt  now supported NSA stand. Then Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Defence Minister remained mum and played safe in front of NSA. Manmohan Singh who desperately wanted the deal to go thru to impress Sonia Gandhi had no answer to the arguments of Army Chief and NSA Chief.  Narayanan in a meeting further suggested that Siachen topic should never become an agenda in bi lateral talks between India and Pakistan. At this time even Pranab Mukherjee supported NSA.

Above events clearly suggest that how the Congress Govt was set to give Siachen Glacier  to Pakistan , risking the entire J & K. Siachen being the highest battle field which provide natural protection to India. Between 1984 ( Operation Meghdoot) and  1999 (Kargil War) more than 1400 soldiers have sacrificed their lives to save Siachen and  Sonia Gandhi/Manmohan Singh wanted to gift the same to Pakistan, which has always betrayed/back stabbed India. It is real shame that to even think that the elected representatives and govt who were trusted and elected by people to protect the country, betrayed the people and the nation. Now is there any thing left which Congress has not tried to ruin India. There were earlier news on social media that Nehru’s ancestor belonged to Muslim community. Some times I wonder this must be true as Nehru was one of the main architect of partition of united India , favoured Muslims , now it seems that he  bungled Kashmir issue deliberately  and his descendants starting from Indira, Rajiv and his wife Sonia, who ruled India always had a soft corner for Muslims and they  redefine the definition of secularism ie person who talks about Muslims is secular and who says he is Hindu and follow Hinduism is non secular. They also created a class of people now known as pseudo secular. On this basis only we all  should  see that Congress and these so called pseudo secular never come back to power.
