Few Thoughts

I could not post my blogs after last Tuesday, since I was  down with Viral Fever. Friends , my apologies. There were few news items of last week which caught my attentions. I am giving below my  brief  reaction on the same:

1. Murder of Gauri Lankesh- who was journalist of a weekly published from Karnataka was shot and murdered in front of her house in Bangalore.  She was of leftist leaning and fierce critic of policies of BJP. Based on the fact that she was against BJP, media and anti BJP brigade passed the judgement that it was work of some staunch Hindu elements who must have killed her. First day there was  news in some section of media that as she was probing some corrupt minister of Karnataka govt that might have been the reason for her murder, but from next day when all the leftist leaning intellectuals and Congress started defaming BJP this news item disappeared. Actually no media informed the viewer that Gauri was actually a Catholic and her full name was Gauri Lankesh Patrick, and she was getting funds also from some Missionories to promote christianity and she from last so many years was writing against Hindus/RSS/BJP. The fact is she was buried and not cremated proves that she was Catholic. I do not understand that media could be such a fool to believe that in her murder there will be hand of BJP/RSS. Do you think, the think tank of the ruling party is controlled by fools, who will go and murder a leftist journalist knowing that there will be first doubt on them only and   score a self goal when elections in Karnataka are due. When Law and Order is a state subject why no media person is demanding CMs resignation, if this would have happened in BJP ruled state everyone in the media would have been demanding CM’s resignation, why then this double standards.
2. I do not know when NDTV will come out from Anti Modi fixation. After Gauri Lankesh’s death, when some BJP  worker tweeted ” Bitch is dead and Puppies are crying loudly”, and what Ravish Kumar of NDTV said that PM should take the responsibility of this tweet as he is one of the follower of the tweet and he is a part of murder plot. I want to ask Ravish Kumar why he did not make any comment when Gauri Lankesh tweeted when RSS workers were murdered in Kerala ” Today Beef will taste best in Kerala” and” Swatch Kerala”. The fact of the matter is no one has a control on tweeter handle so it is a very foolish to blame some one for somebody’s tweet. But NDTV’s only agenda is to run anti Modi campaign to please their Islamic stake holders and Congress who had backed their then promoter Pranov Roy.
3. Tennis -US Open 2017- In the end it was a complete let down. In the ladies section no top player survived and in the semi finals there were two unseeded player and in the final  it was no 15 seed Madison Keys and unseeded Sloane Stephens ( ranked 83 in world) who won in totally one sided final. Similar thing happened in men’s section, but here top seed Rafeal Nadal survived and reached final where he beat 25th seeded Anderson in a one sided final. Overall in the Grand Slams this year we had four winners in ladies section  Serena Williams(Australian), Jelene Ostepanka (French), Gabrine Muruguza (Wimbeldon) and Sloane Stephens (US) and in the men’s section Roger Federar ( Australian & Wimbeldon) and Rafeal Nadal (French & US).
4. Cricket- Sri Lanka Series is over and now India is preparing for ODI series with Australia.  Their Skipper Steve Smith says the aim of his team will be to silence Virat Kohli, if Australia wants to win this ODI series.Is India’s skipper Virat Kohli going to be the biggest ever player in the history of cricket even surpassing records of Sachin Tendulkar? If you look at his statistics and consider he is not even 29 years old, you will agree with me, his stats are  Test—60 (Matches), 101 (inngs), 4658 (runs) , 49.55 (av), 56.02 (strike rate), 235 (highest) 17 (100s). ODI–194(matches), 186(inngs), 8587 (runs) 91.72 (strike rate), 183 (highest), 30 (100s), 44 (50s). T20I —50(matches), 46(inngs) , 1830 (runs), 53.82 (av), 136.16 (strike rate), 90 (highest), 17 (50s). His IPL stats are also fantastic. Now he is captain of Indian Cricket team in all formats of the game, and uptil now his performance as a batsman has  not suffered.
5. During last one week  P Chidambaram of Congress must have said in press multiple times– as RBI says that most of the notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 have come back to banks which indicates that there was no unaccounted cash wealth stashed by citizens and hence the PM should apologise to nation, But he always forgets that earlier RBI only had issued the statement that the amount totalling to Rs 2.5 lakh crore is found to be disputed and tax notice has been issued to depositors. It means that many people have deposited more money that the limit of Rs 2.5 lakhs per person having PAN number and what about fake currency notes which were not detected at the time of depositing. You know why he is harping daily on this issue so that people should not look into the affairs of his son who is under ED and income tax  investigations.
