Irony

The dictionary meaning of irony is ‘ an unusual or unexpected part of a situation etc that seems to be strange or amusing’. Its meaning also can be interpreted as’ a way of speaking that shows you are joking or what you mean the opposite of what you say.’

In today’s blog, I am writing about the ironies of  our day to day life,

Ironies about our Indian democratic system, which is deceiving the citizens, and is making fool of them

  1. A political leader can stand for elections from any where in the country but a citizen has to vote only from the constituency where he is registered as voter. In case for some reason he/she is not at the place when voting takes place, he/she misses  the casting of vote.
  2. If you are in prison for some offence, in that case you can not cast your vote, but  a political leader while remaining in prison  can contest the election, provided he is still not convicted by any court or the prison term is less than 3 years. you all will remember that UPA 2 had brought the ordinance about doing away with the prison term, but that time Congress party’s VP Rahul Gandhi tore the copy of this ordinance in a press conference, and then UPA 2 withdrew this ordinance.
  3. If a citizen ever goes to jail for even some petty crime, he/she becomes ineligible for any govt job. But a political leader even though he has been to jail for the prescribed term which is less than as mentioned above, he can stand for any elections and can even become  any minister, CM, PM or even any Governor or President.
  4. Even for a job a clerk in any govt organisation/bank , a person has to be a minimum graduate in qualifications. But a political leader who is even illiterate can become any minister or CM. Classical example of this is when Rabri Devi, who could not even put her signature became CM of Bihar.
  5. Now if a citizen wants to join army even as soldier, education qualification and physical fitness is required (in the initial interview he has to run  10 Km under specified time) But a political leader who might be handicapped he can become chief of Army, Air force and Navy means he /she can become Defence Minister OR a Political leader  who or his family members never went to any school can  become Education Minister OR a Political Leader who has been chargesheeted in several cases still can become head of Police Dept ie he can become Home Minister

Lastly now even govt employees (forget private sector employees) after serving satisfactorily for more than 30/35 years are not eligible for pension but a political leader who serve 5 years as Councillor, MLA or MP is eligible for pension. For any employee in whatever sector he/she is working the increment in his/her salary is decided by the superior officers, but in case of these Councillor, MLA or MP, they themselves decide about their increase in monthly allowance and salary.

WHAT AN IRONY IN THE POLITICAL SYSTEM.

Now let us see the Ironies faced by  by our Body .

  1. If  you do not have breakfast in the morning, body organ Collins gets afraid because emptiness will affect its performance.
  2. Kidney is afraid whether you are drinking 8/10 glasses of water daily or not.
  3. Gallbladder is afraid  whether you are having proper sleep or not.
  4. Small Intestine is afraid about your eating of cold and stale food.
  5. Large Intestine is afraid about your eating  fried and spicy food, non vegetarian foods.
  6. Lungs are afraid about your smoking, breathing in polluted  and dirty year.
  7. Liver is afraid about your food habits of eating Fried foods, Junk and fast food.
  8. Heart is afraid about your intake of more salt and heavy Chlolestrol  food.
  9. Pancreas is afraid of your eating of more sweet and sugary food.
  10. Eyes are afraid of you looking at computer or mobile screen in the dark.
  11. Brain is afraid of your negative thoughts.

No one realises that these organs are very precious and they are not available in the open market, few of this organs can be transplanted provided family members of the dead person donate the organs, and still there is a condition whether they will match with your blood group and other parameters. So moral of the story is take care of your body organs, if you want to lead a healthy life.

A doctor once commented that a person/patient will eat fried food, will eat Panipuris filled with any water, will  eat vegetables/fruits laced with pesticide, will drink Coke/Pepsi which are full of sugar and other chemicals, will smoke or eat tobacco. But when you prescribed a certain medicine, the first question asked is whether it has got some side effects?

This is an Irony of  modern lifestyle

Awaiting your views/comments/feed backs.

Political leaders are like Kings who can do no wrong.
We must take care of our health ourselves and always.
