Monday Thoughts

On the first Monday of Nov 2018, which also happens  to be  the day when festivities of Diwali starts. So  Friends I wish you and your family members, a Very Happy Diwali.

Some stray thoughts which came to my mind today, which I want to share with you all

1. We achieved independence in 1947 from British Raj, which also resulted in the formation of two countries Pakistan and India (which is also known as Hindustan & Bharat).
2. At the time of partition Hindus constituted about 80 – 82 % of population, Muslims about 13-14 %, Catholics and others were rest.
3. The Congress Party was in power at centre continuously from 1947 to 1977, and for many years after 1979. Our constitution says our country is secular, which means all the citizens are equal. Not depending on their religious status, citizens should be treated fairly and equally. But in fact Congress practised pseudo secularism, which means they always promoted minorities like Catholics and Muslims.
4. To prove the above analogy, here are few facts- first take the case of Muslims-in 1951 census their population in India was around 4 Crores and  there were  about 20 to 25,000 mosques in India, and the present status is their population is about 17.20 Cr (2017 estimate) and  the numbers of mosques now are about 300,000.  Muslim population increased by  3 times, but numbers of mosque increased by  12 times. Most of these mosques are situated at Govt land, which has been regularised by the govt. Consider the case of Pakistan ( a Muslim nation)-their population is 19.7 Cr and numbers of mosques are 180,000. India with less Muslim population  of 2.5 Cr is having 120,000 more mosques. Now if you consider average population cater by one Mosque- in Pakistan it is 1094 and in India it is  573.
5. Similar is analogy with Catholics—presently their population is about 2.78 Cr in the country (about 2.3%) and the number of churches across the country are about  15 to 20,000   (estimate on lower side). Now consider the case of Britain ( a Catholic country) with a  Catholic population of around 6.2 Cr and  what are the nos of churches in country- the no. is only 2100. Now the population served by each church- in Britain it is 29,000 and in India it is 1900.
6. Both these minority communities receive massive funding from overseas to promote their religion in the country.
7. Now consider the case of Hindu ( the majority community in the country with 80 to 82% of Population share). It seems that Congress, communists and other political parties are averse to the term Hindutva ( which means a way of living), this hindutava has been propagated by Hindus learned persons from the centuries in ancient India , but the politicians from these political parties are not liking this term even though they may be Hindus. The main reason is they want to make these minority communities their vote banks, as they also know hindus from their caste will automatically vote for them. So for them to bash hindus and hindutva is a political gimmick to garner the votes.
8. The Congress party, just to appease the Muslims, started giving them the subsidy to Muslims to perform Haj. Even the Muslim countries do not give subsidy to perform Haj pilgrimage, they say as per Quran Haj pilgrimage has to performed with own earned money. And see the irony it was Congress govt which started taxing the Hindus who were going  to Amarnath yatra. So majority community is being taxed and minority community is being appeased .
9. Just because the present govt at centre believes in Hindutva, the Congress and other political parties are feeling jittery because they are afraid of losing their vote banks.
10. With NDA govt in power at centre, so many things are coming out which were being done by previous govt to appease minorities and media persons.
11. There are many people from Congress and their supporters from minorities, who started saying that there is too much intolerance in the country. The intolerance to what ? In their perception any thing which is not as per the practice started by Congress is leading to intolerance. One film star had the audacity to tell that his wife is feeling too much intolerance in the country and she is suggesting that we should live in some other country. For them intolerance is to anything which is suggested by Hintutva or the present govt . For your information the same film star is still living in India, as he knows that if he leaves India, he will lose his bread and butter.
12. My question to them is simple- how you will feel if you are majority in your own country, and you are not allowed to practice, the practices which your  own religions is preaching for for thousands of years. Till few years back and even now calling oneself a Hindu means that you are alien in your own country. And look at the case of Muslim leaders they openly tell Narendra Modi is not our PM, he is PM  for the members of BJP and Hindus, and still they call themselves citizen of this country and do not want to recognise the democratically elected PM.

The above list is very long and I do not want to elaborate any further on this matter. I feel some of my Muslims and Catholic friends, and others who may be Congress supporters   may not like this blog of mine, but to them I would like to say only this- that this is my personal point of view , whether to like this or not is your prerogative, and you are also at liberty to express your point of view.

I am not a big supporter of the present govt, but I firmly believe now that the majority community was totally let down by the successive Congress govts at centre. As their govt went on appeasing minority communities and they divided majority community on caste basis through reservations just for the sake of their vote banks.
