The Archbishop of Delhi, Anil Couto, in a letter addressed to all churches of the national capital, has asked them to start a campaign of fasting and prayers ahead of  2019 General Elections, citing the  “turbulent political atmosphere” threatening the democracy and secularism in the country. The Archbishop further added, “I request that we observe a day of fast every Friday of  the forgoing at least one meal and offering our penance for our spiritual renewal and that of our nation. And hope that picture will change after new govt in 2019.

What does this mean- it implies that  the present govt is encouraging fundamentalists and thus threatening the secular structure of our nation. I do not know what particular incident or incidents, have forced  have forced him to issue this letter.This letter is indirectly meaning that Hindus as community are becoming more intolerant, and minority like christian are under threat. It is true that this present govt  is not for minority appeasement, and their motto is “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” means  prosperity and progress  for one and all. This govt does not believe in minority appeasement like the previous govts , which were ruling earlier. And what does that means  that picture will change after new govt in 2019 ? According to me it only means that do not vote for present govt bring back Congress govt.

These People say Hindu are intolerant, if Hindu had become intolerant there would not have been more Churches in Delhi as compared to City of London  and mind India is not a Catholic country. Same is the case of Mosques in Delhi, which are more than any big city of any Islamic country.

The real fact is that after the formation of  Modi  Govt, Church oriented NGOs , received less money due to stricter laws. It is wrong to try and instigate castes and communities. You can tell them to vote for right candidate or party but to suggest to vote for one party and not other and term yourself as secular v/s pseudo secular is unfortunate.

All this is because the present govt is of the party which believes in Hindutva, and most of its members belongs to Hindu community, even persons from minority religion are also members of this party.

Not let me brief about Hindus or Hindu religion

Hindus have 1280 religious books, 10,000 commentaries, more than one lakh sub commentaries for these foundation books, innumerable presentations on one God, variety of Aacharyas, thousand of Rishies, and hundred of languages. Still, They go to all temples and they are peaceful and tolerant and seek unity with others by inviting them to worship with them whatever god they wish to pray for.

Hindus never fought for one another for the last 10,000 years in the name of religion.

Now let me give some fact about Christianity- One Christ, One Bible, One Religion

But the Latin catholic will not enter Syrian catholic Church.

These two will  not enter Marthoma Church.

These three will not enter Pentecost Church.

These four will not enter Salvation Army Church.

These Five will not enter Seventh Day Adventist Church.

These six will not enter Orthodox Church.

These seven will not enter Jacobite Church.

This way there are about 146 caste  among catholic in the world, and each will never share Churches with fellow catholic.

So where is One Christ, One Bible, and oneness concept, when they do not share their Churches.At least Hindus do not behave this way, even belonging to different caste and believing in different god, still visit any temple.

Now let us talk of  Islam religion

One Allah, One Quran , One Nabi,  Great Unity ????

Among Muslims Shias and Sunnis hate and kill each other in all Islamic countries. The religious riots in most Islamic countries is always between these two sects.

The Shia will not go to Sunni mosque and vice versa.

These two will not go to Ahamadiya mosque.

These three will not got to Sufi mosque.

These four will not go to Mujahiddin mosque.

This way  there are 13 castes in Muslims. Killing/bombing/conquering/massacaring each other.

American attack on Iraq was fully supported by all Muslim countries surrounding Iraq.

So where is one Allah, one Religion.

And these two communities  ( Catholics & Muslims)are saying India is becoming intolerant,  because of present govt. Just because the present govt is not doing minority appeasement, that’s why all around they are spreading the belief that nation has become intolerant.

Did any of these community raised any voice during emergency and its excess, did any Archbishop made a statement that nation has become intolerant due to riots which happened after demolition of Babri Masjid. Did any Muslim or Catholic organisations raised any voice when Ram Sevaks were butchered in Ayodhya in 1990, in UP during Mulayam Singh regime.

The fact of the matter is 85% of India’s population is Hindu, but these politicians have divided these Hindus on caste basis, and Modi is trying for caste less Society, with No appeasement to any section of society. Therefore  this type of statement are coming forth. There are some political parties who are thriving on caste based politics, and the same leaders  from these parties instigate these religious leaders, because they know if India becomes caste less society they have to close their shop.

There is much more to say on this subject, but  I will end here only. Friends these are my personal views and my intention is not to offend any one.
