Friends, today I am not writing on any specific topic, instead I am sharing my thoughts on few of the incidents/happenings during last few days in the country. These are totally my personal views, please share your views on these topics whether you agree with me or otherwise.
- Right to Privacy- There is petition in SC on this subject and yesterday SC started hearing on this case. Why this petition in SC- as per my knowledge this was done by some organisation/individuals who are opposing Central Govt decision to link your Aadhar cards to various activities/business/benefits etc. Govt has asked every one to link their Aadhar card and PAN cards. For in case of buying property unless you have Aadhar card you are not allowed to buy property. Now these people have objection to this saying that this infringes their privacy rights. What is privacy in this, you are buying a property, which has to be registered and Stamp Duty is to be paid. Now problem is that some one will not be able to buy Benami properties with this, as your Aadhar card is linked with PAN card, immediately your income tax record can be assessed while buying property. In all developed countries your ID, which is your Social Security Number, is linked to every thing. The SC while making their observations yesterday expressed its strong reservations about declaring right to privacy a fundamental right, saying privacy could never be an absolute entitlement with the state having no power to restrict it.
- VP Elections- Few days back Naveen Patnaik CM of Odisha made a statement that he can not back NDA candidate Venkiah Naidu for VP post as he is politician and was a Cabinet Minister before filing his nomination. But he has forgotten that he backed and voted for Pranab Mukherjee for the post of President and he was also politician and Cabinet Minister in UPA govt before filing his nominations. Why this double standards Naveen Patnaik?
- Indian Cricket Coach- So Ravi Shastri, the newly appointed coach of Indian Cricket team had his way and his views prevailed and BCCI has backed him and appointed Bharat Arun as Bowling Coach and Sanjay Bangar as batting coach , instead of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid who were announced by Cricket Advisory Committee(CAC) consisting of Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. The Committee of Administrator (CoA) saying that CAC exceeded their brief. In the process the BCCI and CoA have humilated 5 senior players , and they think their acumen and cricketing abilities are less than that of Ravi Shastri. In CoA there is only one person out of three who has played cricket, and they think because they are appointed by SC so they are above every body in BCCI and cricket fraternity.
- Radio Jockey Malishka- (item for Mumbaikars) Recently Malishka Mendonsa who is RJ with Mumbai Based Red FM channel uploadedcd her song ” Mumbai, Tula BMC war bharosa nahi ka”, which went viral after uploading and has more than 12 lakhs views till yesterday. The song describes the the troubles faced by Mumbaikars in monsoon- like situation of roads which have pot hole, long traffic jams, delay of local trains and in the end it says that this is the situation every year. BMC, that is BrihanMumbai MahanagarPalika, Corporation, has taken offence of this video, and in retaliation raided Malishk’s house yesterday and made a charge that in the flat, which is owned by her mother, that there three spots which are helping mosquito breeding. And what are spots- Petri dishes kept under flower pots. If BMC is taking their this logic for mosquito breeding than there are lakhs of small pot holes in Mumbai city , which are filled with rain water and are place for mosquito breeding.
What you say my friends

1. Right to privacy cannot be absolute. Those seeking it have some axe to grind.
2. Navin has some other reason to oppose Vainkayaa Naidu but he does not wish to to tell that reason.
3. I agree with Anil that BCCI & COA have humiliated five cricketers of great eminence.
4. Less said about B. M. C. better.

Spot on Anil, your insights into all three happenings are truly commendable! With terrorism gaining ground some of our rights will naturally go in the name of security, as my tinted glasses which gave me privacy in my car had to go. And the BMC! Just imagine the arrogance of these rascals! They’ve been elected to serve and they instead serve notices on those who ask questions about their service!
Like I said, spot on Anil!
