Few Thoughts

Over the week end and today morning, few news which attracted my attentions are worthy for more deliberations and they are :

1. During last week India and  Pakistan exchanged many dialogues in UN assembly- first Pakistan PM in his speech again started harping about Kashmir issue during his speech in UN Assembly, he must have used Kashmir world atleast 20 times in his speech. While giving reply to Pakistan PM’s address, India’s representative Ms Gambhir in her speech condemned Pakistan for spreading terrorism  and and said that Pakistan name should be changed to Terroristan, which is more apter for that country. Next came the speech of India’s Minister of External Affair Ms Sushma Swaraj, in her address she said while we are establishing new Indian Institute of Technologies, Indian Institute of Managements, Institute of Medical Studies and many such more specialities, where as Pakistan speciality is promoting terrorism. In her reply Pakistani representative Ms Maleeha Lodhi said that India is mother of all terrorism in South Asia. she further added that much of what is in the  air in India is pure terror, specially in Kashmir. While saying this she waved a photo of pellet ridden face of young girl and she said the photo is of Kashmiri girl. Her statement was proven to be a lie , when it was found out that the photo was of Palestani girl named Rawya  and the same was clicked by freelance photo journalist  Heidi Levini. All the statements by Pakistani representatives sound funny when full world knows the truth about Pakistan and it will not be a surprise when Pakistan will be declared a terror state by world community.
2. CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a statement that Vijay Mallaya diverted the most of loan amount (Rs 6027 Cr), which he took from SBI led consortium of 17 banks to revive the Kingfisher Airlines. The funds were diverted Shell Companies in seven countries including USA, UK, France and Ireland. My contention is that Kingfisher Airlines must be having accounts with these consortium banks, then why this was not pointed out by them that the funds issued for revival of Kingfisher Airlines are being diverted to some companies abroad. It only means that either the Bank top executives were bought by Vijay Mallaya or they must have been told by some minister in central govt to keep quiet. The second possibility looks more probable, please remember that it was a UPA govt who was in power at that time. Now the same Congress party is shouting from the roof top how Vijay Mallaya absconded. It is well known fact that the minister in UPA govt very well knew  about the scheme of Vijay Mallaya, and they gave him all the possible help and now NDA govt is fighting on all front for his extradition from UK.
3. Let us now talk about cricket- India won the ODI series against Australia by winning first 3 ODIs  in 5 match series. This has  after winning 3 match test series 3-0 with them . And this  came after winning test, ODI and T20 series against England. Now India has achieved No. 1 ranking in both Test and  One Day format of the game.This ODI win has been achieved with few new players, please note that for this ODI series Ravichnadra Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja,  both considered to be good all rounder in this format of game were rested and in form opener Shikhar Dhawan  had opted out because of his wife’s surgery. In the 3 ODIs against Australia the star player was Hardik Pandya who has proven to be a excellent all rounder in this format of game. In the middle order he has proven to be a fantastic batsman who can score at brisk pace, usually he comes to bat at 3 or 4 down, but yesterday he was promoted and batted at 2 down and what a innings he played by scoring 78 runs in 72 balls and while bowling in the middle overs he always take one or more wickets also. After  Kapil Dev, he is the first all rounder who is not afraid to loft the ball and hit sixes and always score useful runs for the team. And what to say about 2 wrist spinners Yajuvendra Chahal and Kedar Jadhav, it was their spin bowling which mesmerised the Australians and contributing to the failure of their star batsmen. If these two spinners continue to perform like what they are being doing in this series, it will become imperative that Ashwin and Jadeja will find it very difficult to come back in ODI team.
