Congress Party always think that it is their birth right to rule this country because they were instrumental for India’s freedom. Recent development in the political circle once again prove this.
It so happened that on 6th of Dec few Congressmen including Ex PM Manmohan Singh, Ex VP Hamid Ansari, Ex External Affair minister Natwar Singh and other Congressmen attended a Dinner Party, which was hosted by Ex Cabinet Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar at his residence, where he had also invited Ex Foriegn Minister of Pakistan, High Commissioner of Pakistan in India few others from Pakistan High Commissions Office. Also present were Ex Army Chief Deepak Kapoor,former High Commissioners to Pakistan TCA Raghvan, Sharat Sabharwal and Salman Haidar, and Ex Foreign Secretary Salman Haidar.
On 9th of Dec news leaked out in media and first reported on Times Now Channel that a Dinner meeting took place with Pakistani delegations at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s Residence. So what followed after was total mayhem :
1. Immediately BJP leadership took over this issue and started criticising Congress how they can have clandestine meeting with Pakistani Delegation without informing/taking approval from Central Govt.
2.On Sunday the 10th Dec Anand Sharma of Congress said in Press Conference that do they have to take a permission to go for private dinner party and he denied that there was any meeting with Pakistani delegations.
3 In the mean time PM Modi who was on the campaign trail in Gujarat announced in a public rally, that Congress had a meeting with Pakistani delegation at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s residence where Gujarat Elections was discussed.
4. The media also started saying that after the meeting of 6th Dec, Aiyar called Modi “Neech Aadmi”.
5. Suddenly on Monday 11th Dec Congress party who till that time was denying that there was no meeting with Pakistani Delegations, came out with Ex PM Manmohan Singh making a statement that the meeting took place with Pakistani delegations and bi lateral relations between India and Pakistan were discussed and Gujarat Elections were not discussed.
Now the million dollar question — is Manmohan Singh heading the Govt now, so that he can go and discuss bilateral relations between 2 countries because that is the job of the govt. Then as what capacity he and other Congressmen with other people present(as mentioned above) were discussing with Pakistanis at the venue. They had neither informed or taken the permission from the Govt. It is well known fact that Ex PM and Ex VP are bound by official secrecy act and they are not supposed to attend any meeting with the delegations of the other country without the knowledge of the present govt. And Pakistan is not any other country , it is almost like an enemy state and we do not have good relations with them.
And see the audacity of Congressmen, Manmohan Singh says that PM Modi should apologise to Congress for saying that Congress discussed Gujarat elections with Pakistanis. On the contrary it should be the other way around, the Congress Party and Ex PM Manmohan Singh should apologise to nation, as they told lies to the nation. First they denied regarding the meeting and when they were exposed they said that the meeting did happen and bilateral relations were discussed, which they can not discuss as mentioned earlier. So it is like old hindi saying ” Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Daante”. Earlier Rahul Gandhi along with few Congressmen went to Chinese Ambassadors office, when there was tension at Indo/Bhutan/China Border. This was also without govt’s knowledge and the same was exposed by media.
During Gujarat Election campaign, one young congressmen asked Modi who are your father and mother, Rahul’s father and grand mother laid their lives for the country. So if that is the criteria for becoming PM then the member from every soldiers’ family who lay down their lives for the country should be eligible for the post of PM.
Is this episode also one more self goal by Congress?
