Few thoughts on this Tuesday, after election results of 2 states which were quite expected.
1.So Congress won more seats than their present strength in assembly, but Rahul Gandhi took a retrogressive step by taking help of Caste Politics leaders like Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakur and Jignesh Mevani. It seems that Congress and its leaders do not have any other agenda to fight election other than Caste politics. When BJP was talking about development, Congress was negotiating on reservations for Paatidars with Hardik Patel
2. It looks like Congress could have won this election or given more scare to BJP with the help of these Caste Politics leaders if their leaders would not have scored so many self goals like Mani Shankar Aiyar calling PM Modi Neech and inviting Pakistan delegations for dinner and having meeting with them which was first denied by them. But when PM Modi accused them for having discussed Gujarat Elections with delegations, Ex PM Manmohan Singh accepted that they did have meeting but discussed only bilateral relations. Then Kapil Sibal in SC requesting the Panel of Judges to defer the hearing of Ram Janam Bhoomi/Babri Masjid case after 2019 general elections.
3. It was the deep understanding of Gujarat voters’ thoughts by BJP and their top leaders like Amit Shah & PM Modi, which gave the edge to BJP and Congress could not dis lodge them even after 22 years of incumbency. In the last phases of campaigning after all these self goals by Congress, it was BJP all the way.
4. I do not understand the soft hindutava tactics of Congress. Rahul visiting temple daily, telling I am janeudhari hindu. His father also committed a similar mistake when he opened the gates of Babri Masjid so that Hindus could perform the pooja in mid 80s, which gave BJP the hindu plank.
5. Rahul during his speeches was saying that he has not seen any development in Gujarat. I think Rahul visited Gujarat 1st time 0nly in 2017, so how can he see development in already developed Gujarat, I think he should have seen Gujarat of pre 2000 than only he could have realised how much Gujarat has developed.
6. No one is talking about Himachal result, where BJP trounced Congress and wrested the power by claiming almost 2/3rd majority.
7.Certain part of media is describing Rahul as next messiah of Indian Politics, which I can not digest. A person who has lost all the elections since 2014 except Punjab state but where Amrendra Singh , present CM, saw to that Rahul never comes to Punjab during campaigning. How this person can become saviour of Congress and Indian Polity. Best of luck to him , his friends, and specially the paid media who is boosting him.
8.It will be really good , if Rahul comes of his age and become responsible politician rather than reluctant one, which he was uptil now. Because after BJP only party which has some what pan India presence is Congress and for democracy to survive you need good opposition. Now he has become President of Congress, he should first try to behave as responsible opposition leader and control his flock in Parliament which has got the habit of disrupting parliament on any small issue.
9. Yesterday morning, when initial leads started coming Congressmen were jubilant and started behaving as if they have won Gujarat elections and as soon as the leads started turning towards BJP, they again started blaming EVM machines, and immediately one of their senior leaders rushed to Election commissioner’s office to lodge a complain. Why is Congress always a bad loser, whey they can not accept defeat gracefully.
10. Finally, I have not understood the concept of moral victory which Rahul Gandhi is claiming after losing in Gujarat and Himachal. See when you are fighting elections either you win or lose, there is no midway point. OK Congress is thinking they have won more seats in Gujarat as compared to last elections, so it is their moral victory, if that is a solace and soothing balm for them, let them think that way.
In the end, only future will tell what is in store for Rahul in Indian Politics.
What you say my friends.
Awaiting your feed backs and comments.

I am very happy with the narrowing gap in the Gujarat election results… Good wakeup call to BJP … I wish such trend becomes reality across the country so that ruling part stay grounded…
