Indian Ironies

Recently I read about Indian ironies on social media through one of my friend, which I want to share with you all. Ironies are :

1. Our is the only country where people fight to be backward. This is because of so many reservations for backward class people.
2. In our country many people kill their girl child even before she is born, and seek neighbour’s girl for Kanya Pooja.
3. People stop if black cat crosses their path but will not stop at red signal.
4. Here Rapist comment on the morality and character of the girl they rape and murder. And so called educated lawyers support and defend these rapists.
5. Most people who fight over religion, Gita & Quran are the one who have neither read their religion nor these books.
6. In the country half the population is starving and the other half is over fed who are trying to lose their weight.
7. Here edible food items are sold in the open but shoes and other foot wears are sold in air conditioned show rooms.
8. It is right to PISS in the public but morally wrong to KISS in the public.
9. In the women’s attire, six inches between sari and blouse is cultured but two inches between Jeans  and top is uncultured and it can invite molestation.
10. Here every one is in such a hurry to reach some where but no one reaches on time.
11. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar made more money by enacting the roles of sport persons Mary Kom and Milkha Singh than the sport persons themselves earned in their entire career.
12. In our country  saying like ” Ladki Ghar Ki Laxmi Hai & Ladki Baap Ka Bojh Hai” co exist.
13. It is dangerous to talk to strangers but it is perfectly right to marry one.
14. What an irony- Our country ranks 6th in the number of Billionaires per country but it’s one third population lived in extremely poor conditions.
15. In our country most of the people will spend more on their daughter’s marriage than on their education.
16.  You need to have minimum education of 8th standard to become a peon in any govt office, but you do not need any formal education to become MLA/MP , even ministers to run the country.
17.  During elections people generally do not vote for the candidate whom they like the most, but they vote for whom they dislike least.
18. Here if you are swearing in English people think you are COOL, if you swear in Hindi or any other regional languages then you are considered UNCOOL.
19. People who built the houses for others are generally homeless and people who risk their lives for Electricity generally lives in the houses where there is no electricity.
20. Country’s pride matters only during cricket matches, but not when a Foreign Tourist is being harassed.
21. People always have a problems with Police force, but no body wants to join the force.
22. Here Political leaders always blames and questions Police and armed forces but the stark reality is that no children of any political leaders have ever joined armed forces, and some leaders have audacity to make statements that armed force people are paid to die for the country.
23. As per our Vedas and religion our rivers are Holy yet we do not hesitate to pollute them.
24. Here people will glorify Eves Teasing in the Movies and the same people take to streets to protest against sexual harassment of the ladies.
25.  Radha  and Lord Krishna were lovers  and they are worshipped, but people will always have problem with their daughter’s boy Friend.
26. When we are stuck up in traffic and start cursing every one from traffic police to govt, but without realising that we are the ones who are adding on to  the traffic.
27. Having a mobile phone is more important than  having a toilet at home.
28. People spend hours discussing about what is wrong with the country but no one wants to participate in bringing the change in the country.
29. Here people will blame the govt( local, state or central) for the wrongs which are happening in the country forgetting that they themselves are responsible for electing the people who run the govt.

Friends after reading these ironies, realisation must have struck you that what ever is said is very true and these things are largely prevalent in our country and we have done hardly any thing for change .
