The UZMA Story
Uzma is a Indian national who met Tahir who is a Pakistani, in Malaysia ant they supposedly fell in love and he invited her to visit Pakistan. When she met him in Pakistan, she was forced to marry him at gun point. And afterwards she was tortured by Tahir and his parents, and they threatened her that they will kidnap her daughter from previous marriage , and was forced to sign nikahnama. Inn the end she took refuge in Indian High Commission office in Pakistan, where she was treated well by staff. In the mean time Tahir made a petition in Pakistani court that his wife is forcibly kept in Indian High Commission office. Immediately with the help of officer of High Commission, Uzma also filed counter petition. By this time Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister came to know about this, and she through diplomatic channel also started talking with Pakistani External Affairs Minister and officials. In the end Pakistani court ruled in favour of Uzma, and the judge order all the concern that she should immediately send to India , through Wagah border, in the presence of Officer of Indian High commission. So she crossed Wagah border yesterday and returned to India . My only question to Uzma is , I know love is blind, how could she go to Pakistan alone without any support or friend/relation in that country. She is very lucky that officer at High Commission office believed her and helped her, and they hired a competent lawyer to fight her case. Her experience should be an eye opener to another Indian muslim women, that do not believe another nation’s citizen on their face value, and before embarking on this type of mission, please do the investigation of the particular man and his family back ground. Uzma was very lucky , she could reach Indian High commission office, and she got all the required help from govt. In future others may not be so lucky, then what?
Anil Kumble Story
Few days back Anil Kumble, present coach of Indian cricket team, made a representation to concerned member of managing committee of BCCI,that the fees of team’s captain should be increased by 25% , as he is answerable for team’s action. He also suggested that similarly coach fees should also be increased. So what these high headed members do- they issue an advertisement in the media for the position of Indian team’s coach, it means that they do not want to renew Kumble’s contract after his wonderful performance, as the results of team performance show. These BCCI members are still behaving in autocratic ways even now when SC appointed Committee of Administrators(COA) is in place . It is not clear whether before placing an add the COA’s permission was obtained or not, and they issue the ad when Kumble has already left with team to England for Champions Trophy tournament
