Wednesday Musings

Few wild thoughts on this Wednesday:

1. Recently PM  Narendra Modi visited  Palestine, it was a rare instant when a staunch Hindu leader was visiting a other country which is staunch Islamic nation and other staunch country which is a Jewish nation Israel provided the security of our PM, where as Jewish and Islamic countries are sworn enemies for centuries. Even Israeli Helicopters were flying over Palestine territory for our PM’s security.  Few months back when PM Modi visited  Israel there was protest by Indian Muslims why he is visiting Israel who is enemy of Islamic nations over the world, but do you find any Hindu protesting when PM visits Arabic (Islamic) countries because they are friends of our enemy country Pakistan, who is Islamic nation.
2. Do you know that earlier flight from Mumbai to Israel used to take about 7 hours as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran and other Arabian countries did not allow their air space to be used for flight going to or originating from Israel. Now Air  India has been given permission by  Saudi Arabia to use their Air space for flying to Israel, and time will be now only 2.5 hours. Kudos to Indian govt foreign policy.
3. All Islamic countries have recognised and accepted Modi as a one of the most important leaders of the world, including our arch enemy Pakistan who is feeling economic pinch from all sides. But our Indian Muslims and all anti BJP parties are always spraying venom against Modi when full world has acknowledged him as the powerful leader of the world hailing from the biggest democracy.  All Arab countries are openly supporting our stand against Pakistan on the subject of terrorism.And President of main opposition party of the country made a statement while he was abroad(in a Islamic nation) that Indian democracy is in danger
4.  Many Arab countries have started giving their lands for building Hindu temples in their country and their Kings, Princes and head of the state visit the temple and join Indian leaders in performing Aarti. Can you think of any Indian Muslim leader visiting temple in India and participating in the Puja/ Aarti, when asked they reply their religion does not allow them to worship statue. My question to them is- are the leaders of  Arabian countries are less Islamic or their Islamic religion is different than what is followed by  Indian Muslims. As far as I know all over the Islamic world their Holy Book Quran is same then why these double standards by Indian Muslims.
5. Many of the Islamic countries have banned the use of Triple Talaq by Muslim men and it is punishable offence by their law. But in our country Muslim clerics and their leaders are against this ban and many political parties who consider them as their vote banks are supporting them. The bill of banning triple talaq has already been passed by Lok Sabha but it is now stuck in Rajya Sabha, because opposition parties there say that it should not be punishable offence. I do not under stand what is offence if it is not punishable and what is  their reasoning that if a man is punished and jailed, then who will take care of  his wife and family, as if earlier pronouncing triple talaq he was taking care of his wife and children.
